Awesome salon and the hair stylists are great at their craft. Definitely a place to become a regular to get a good wash, rollers, and blow dry as well as hair relaxers, colors, highlights, cuts, etc. Preference that you pay and tip in cash. Credit cards are also accepted. No appointment needed - walk-ins accepted. If coming in the later part of the day, try to come by 4pm so that you can finish before their closing hours.
I’ve experimented with countless Dominican salons in both Queens and Brooklyn when I moved back to New York until I finally found this one! I feel the same experience and skill that I know and remember from being a little girl in a Dominican hair salon. I’ve gotten my hair washed and blown by everyone in the salon and they all did an amazing job each time (no flat ironing needed afterwards like some places that cannot blow dry do). Not to mention, they are quick, efficient, and funny, kindhearted women. Thank you!
Okay my experience was amazing they listened to what I wanted and did exactly that! The place is small but they do excellent work. They cater to all hair types. If you need your hair done go to them, it was/is money well spent. I have 4c hair type and I had a wash blowout deep conditioning and a trim it cost me $65.. see pictures for end result.

It is a small place but makes you feel at home! It was a last minute emergency, I came in asking for french braids for the hot sunny weather & looked amazing. Great staff as well.
When I first explained to my mother that I needed a new hair salon, she told me to go across the street because there was always a line at Bonita Beauty Salon. From my first visit there I knew that I would never leave this salon. It's been several years now, at least 6 and I will not go anywhere else to get my hair done in this world. I'm a flight attendant who works out of Chicago but I live in Italy. I call Judith the owner of this Salon in advance to make sure she will do my hair and I'm never disappointed. Over the last 2 years she has helped me out grow my relaxer and my natural hair which is curly has never been in better condition. She knows how to cut or trim hair beautifully and she takes her time with you. She also introduced me to this technique called BOTOX for the hair which is an extreme hair conditioner that leaves my hair so silky smooth and moisturized I haven't lost barely any hair in general shedding and or brushing in the last 2 years. My hair is thick, healthy and now that it's natural I'm completely satisfied with the overall transformation which can be problematic when you transition from relaxed to natural hair. Bonita beauty salon is the best salon I've ever had my hair done at and I have been to at least 20 different places over the last 25 years. She always has a line so you are best to go in when they first open because they don't take appointments, you can just walk in. The prices are reasonable, affordable and fair and Judith is the best stylist ever but she also hires those who know what they're doing and are extremely talented. When I was featured on House Hunters International, I made sure we visited "Judith's" Bonita Beauty Salon as one of my favorite places in Brooklyn and when I left the salon on film my hair was gorgeous.
Judith and her squad are the best!! She has been taking care of my natural hair for several years now and she is amazing. Her technique promotes hair growth and good health. She uses an extremely deep conditioning product in my hair called Botox that helps my hair to absorb moisture. My hair is very moisture resistant and this product opens up my hair follicle to absorb moisture but at the same time wraps the broken strands of my hair with protein to help rebuild strength. She's very gentle and doesn't break your hair off while making sure your hair is completely detangled. Big difference when using a detangling comb versus a rat tail comb on black hair. She doesn't take appointments, just walk ins, they always have a line, they know everybody by name, and they are the best hair salon in Brooklyn.
