I had a great time at the restaurant enjoying the delicious food, fantastic music, and exceptional service. However, I regret to inform you that I need to revise my earlier positive review. Upon checking my credit card statement, I realized that I was charged an amount that exceeded the authorized amount. While I had a wonderful experience, I will not be returning to this establishment, and I would advise anyone planning to dine here to pay in cash.

The atmosphere was very good, they had a group playing live music which was awesome. The waitresses were super friendly and attentive which is much appreciated. I'm general we had a great time, their beer selection was also pretty good ???? .. overall on of the best places we could dine in while I'm the area.

My wife and I have been to Bonfire twice this month, including this afternoon for their Monther's Day Buffet event. Both times the only handicap parking spot on the property has had a dumpster placed in it. There is space to the right of the dumpster but that encroaches onto the sidewalk and there is a No Parking violators will be towed sign. When we were there on 5/2 we mentioned this issue to the bartender. Since it was still an issue, today we asked to talk to the manager at the end of our meal. The manager told us that was the only place the dumpster could be placed and that we should have just parked on the sidewalk. My wife explained that there are No Parking and Tow Away signs but his comment was not to worry about those. My wife then asked why they didn't create a new handicap spot if that was the only place the dumpster could go to which the manager replied "all the locals know to just park on the sidewalk".

Someone else in our group had a few comments for the manager regarding the temperature of the food and the 24% included gratuity. The manager stated that 20% of that was gratuitity and that 4% was credit card processing fees. I have no issues with included gratutity for a large party, especially on a special event day like Monther's day. However, there is no notation anywhere that the 4% is for credit card processing fees. The 4% is also added BEFORE they know if you are paying with a credit card or cash. Do they redo the bill and remove this fee if you pay with cash? What if someone just wants to leave exact change? A 20% standard gratuity is also high for a buffet meal.

After these discussions the manager became extremely unprofessional and aggressive towards us. He began shouting that he's working here on Mother's Day and not spending time with his mother so we could have a good meal. He repeated this statement, very loudly, multiple times.

The smokehouse burger was really good. Onion rings were pretty greasy and overcooked. Limited beer options. Service was slower than it should be, but locals said it was unusual. Good view from the Haystack room. The place is probably pretty loud when fuller.

Great view ! Good menu selection and beers. Ordered and did have to wait a long time on our order. There were 5 of us and two tables (2), (5) did receive theirs prior to us. Our server was fairly attentive but not the best. We had the red,white, blue salads, shrimp tacos, brisket tacos (amazing) ! I’d go back but expect a longer wait.

Went here for Valentine’s Day, with a reservation for 7pm. We did not get seated until 7:15, which I’ll look past since it was clearly a busy evening. Once we were seated, an hour passed and not one person had come and given us menus or even taken a drink order. Again, I understand it was busy but other tables were being served and we tried to flag down a waiter who completely avoided eye contact/avoided us. We eventually asked another waitress/hostess for menus after ~1.25 hours and she kindly took our drink and appetizer order. We eventually ordered food, which took over another hour to come out, they also brought out the wrong salads. It got to the point where we were just going to pay for drinks/app and leave because food was taking so long. (At this point it was 9:30 and half the tables in the restaurant were empty). We appreciate the kind waitress who comped and boxed our meals to go but regretfully felt ignored by all wait staff for hours.

One of the top best 3 restaurants in the UP and by far the best in Houghton. I have never had a bad meal or left hungry. If you are seated in the Hayloft you have a great view of town. Live music on weekends on a top notch stage and the owner makes it a point to make sure you are satisfied with your experience.

We rented the Hayloft for a surprise party and everything was wonderful! The room had amazing views and the decor is beautiful! The appetizers were delicious and came out right on time for our guests. Our waitress was great and the food was wonderful! Don’t pass up the steak bite pasta, it’s super yummy! Thanks to Bonfire grill for making my husbands 40th birthday so memorable.
