I've been to the King of Prussia mall location several times and it never disappoints. Today I was here on a Sunday night and had the grouper special. The food was delicious! We did the dinner for 2 combo (about $55) which includes a salad, choice of entree, and cheesecake dessert.
The food was outstanding. The wait service is always extremely kind and punctual.
The mashed potatoes needed help. A lot of help.
Overall, the food was ok. Except the potatoes. They used 2% and no butter.
Our server was ok. I don't think he wanted to be in work and it showed. Our food runner was great.
Food is decent but service is lacking. Our female server who has dark hair and wearing glasses, doesn't have the best attitude from the get go--which I couldn't figure out why. We had lunch and tipped according to the prompt on the machine. However, when I asked for a last refill of soda, she wouldn't do it by avoiding our table--ridiculous. I didn't even ask for water refill. Her behavior is baffling!
We stopped in to grab a drink and a snack at the bar while we waited for traffic on 422 to ease up. We ended up staying for dinner! Dwayne was our bartender and his service was great! He is why we decided to stay for dinner…really charming and attentive. The food was good too ! Calamari, lobster tail dinner and a dinner special with a filet, shrimp and scallops…it was delicious! Dwayne also made a fabulous dessert martini for me! We will definitely be back!
The food does not disappoint. I ordered the Bonefish Signature Pasta and the special pumpkin pie martini. The bread with oil is amazing! It's sooo good and half the reason to go there. The pasta was delicious. The martini, sadly, was a bit disappointing. It wasn't nearly as good as I had hoped or as it sounded. The photos online looked far better than what I got . The service was so slow, painfully slow. The atmosphere is nice and the restaurant is beautiful inside, but it took forever to get water, or to-go containers, or our check. I would go back with hopes of having a different server.
Food has definitely gone downhill... 3 of us for the salmon which was great. The shrimp pasta was lackluster,,, no flavor and the shrimp was almost overcooked. For the bill, definitely not worth the price. Server was nice, but we ran out of drinks a few times. Like usual, bang bang shrimp was the star. Atmosphere is great, secluded spot for lunch at the mall.
We decided to come to this location for the happy food specials only for food. While sitting at the bar, we asked the bartender and pointed the menu items on the "Small Plate" happy hour food selections of the ahi tuna poke bowl and mussels. This was my first experience eating there for happy hour.
The entire restaurant was empty with only a couple people at tables and 4 people at the bar. I totally understand it's a tough economy but the outcome of our experience was awful! The food was good. Once I inquired to cash out, I was given a bill of double the price not the happy hour "Small Plate" choices I initially requested. I questioned the bill with the manager who informed me that we consumed the big plates. Unbeknownst to us the situation was
completely terrible.
The manager continued insinuating the issue was my fault reiterating that I should've asked for "Small Plates" even though my partner informed the bartender of what we wanted to order on the "Small Plates" happy hour menu options and pointing it out on the menu. The manager finally conceded and adjusted the order.
The bartender came over to apologize. The manager never apologized for the oversight, he then came back with the revised check. I would not recommend going to this Bonefish. There are other happy hours like Sullivans where we came from for happy hour food specials. They tried to bamboozle innocent patrons to meet their impossible bottomline. If you do decide to go to this location for happy hour explain and reiterate that you want "Small Plates" even recommended before eating confirm they are "Small Plates" so that you don't get swindled like we did. The manager and bartender need to be retrained on what happy hour rates on the menu include.
I will never go back to this location!
While we were kind of rubbed the wrong way by the people who greeted us, it was quickly cleared up when we got to our table and met our server. Brianna was our server and we absolutely LOVED her! She was super attentive, sweet and friendly. I would definitely come back just to see her again!
