Drove from Richlands Va to Lebanon Va and it was well worth the trip. I found the restaurant to be clean, the staff was very friendly and service was good. I had the steak and grilled shrimp. The steak was tender and cooked well. The shrimp was seasoned nicely. And I suggest the onion rings. When you visit the salad bar before your meal comes you get so much food for such a great price. It was well worth the trip and I will be returning.
The steak was made just right The dinner bar was super clean and very well kept up. Super friendly employees every time we've ate they have amazing peanut butter cookies on the bar I would highly recommend .
Years ago, the salad bar was one of the best. However, I've noticed my last few trips to Bonanza, and the salad bar is not clean and poorly kept. The hot bar was good. Service was poor. I had to get our own drink and then was told they were out of bags for my carryout order. The entire restaurant is in need of an update. The carpet is old and dirty, and the lighting is dark and deemed. The price has also increased dramatically. For the price of the buffet I could have gone to a restaurant with table service with better quality food.
I came here for the first time on my birthday for a nice birthday dinner. I ordered steak, grilled shrimp, and fries. The food was delicious, the staff were so kind and attentive, and the place was immaculately clean. Staff were constantly cleaning as they went, and I don't just mean the tables. They were also cleaning blinds, vacuuming, washing the windows, etc. It's clear to me that everyone working there truly takes pride in their work. The atmosphere was so family oriented. I highly recommend bonanza steakhouse. It's a little pricey, but oh so worth it.
Overall outstanding experience. The food was delicious and a great value. The service was great, it was so busy that the wait staff got overwhelmed at times. But they all were gracious and friendly. Definitely will eat here anytime in in the area during there hours of operation.
Was there tonight was 3 people in line in front of us,after they placed their order the girl just walked away, I was still standing in line when another person came to take orders and took another couple in front of me and then was going to take another party in front of me and they spoke up and said I had been waiting and was there before them. I thanked the party for letting me go in front of them. Very poor service as they knew I was standing in line but kept going around me! Went into the rest room and it was a mess didn't looked like anyone had been in yo check or clean it! You would think for the high price you are paying you would at least be treated with respect!

Private parking lot, no wait, hostess was friendly and pleasant, the buffet didn't look inviting, I witnessed the cooks without gloves, hair or beard nets, one cook coughed on his left hand and continued cooking, the floor of the entry, buffet and seating areas were dirty, there was a hair in my food that wasn't mine, almost everything wasn't seasoned nor cooked properly like the chicken (wasn't fried chicken)
Meat loaf, pulled pork, hush puppies were passable
I don't know how this restaurant passes any inspections
We were sadly disappointed and won't be returning unfortunately
Loved this restaurant. So glad we found it on our way home to Virginia from the Aaron Tippin concert at LargeCars and Guitars Fundraiser at Smokies Stadium in Kodak TN. Would definitely recommend stopping there.
