Best WLM Reviews
Next to the public library in a heavily ethnic area , its colorful placards looked enticing. Inside I discovered authentic Haitian cuisine, of which I am extremely ignorant. I chose the chicken stew and Haitian rice, both had names I did not catch.
Food was extremely authentic, very tasty, and a new experience. Eating chicken with the bones cooked in was reminiscent of life in America in the 1980’s.
Beware, I was quoted $10.65 and my receipt reflects such, but my card was charged $11.05. I didn’t make a stink over a $.40 up charge. I felt it was a little pricey but will admit there was enough rice and chicken left over for a subsequent meal.
On my second go, I had the fried goat with fried plantains, and a meat pie stuffed with chicken, boiled egg, and vegetables. Still a bit expensive but definitely a authentic experience.
I would like to recognize the service team for feeding my dad... Thank you for being kind to the elderly community... I don’t speak the creole language, but I appreciate the patience you had towards my dad while he was ordering... Kudos to your management team and staff... Delicious Caribbean Cuisine
Immediately felt the shift change when I was next in line waiting to be served. Two female staff members did not tend to help with my food order nor acknowledged that I was there. One had rather helped the next person after me. Extremely poor customer service from someone who wanted to experience the authenticity of Haiti.
If you are dating a Haitian and are a person outside the race , you will be treated poorly for no reason lol save yo money the food is overhyped
Great food and they give a lot! I bought a plate of turkey meat with rice and beans. I also had their chicken patty. Everything was delicious and they were fast. My mom had their mais moulin and she enjoyed it. I would definitely come again.
I should have tried this place a while ago but it took my husband to take me to want to try it and not be scared hahaha.
I like it. The rice and turkey….definitely delicious. It gets busy and there can be a wait but I will be back until I learn to make Haitian food myself ????
I love me some Haitian food. This was my first time trying and the peas and rice was superb, griot well seasoned…would try them again
Food was delicious. This was my first time trying griot(pork). The only vibe I didnt like was location and carryout environment. Had random strangers asking me for money as I tried to enjoy my meal. I wouldn't dine in the next time but get it to go.
Has been my favorite Haitian restaurant in Orlando for over 5 years!!! The turkey in gravy with rice and beans Is soo good ! The plantains were fresh and the pikliz had just the right spice. If you love perfectly flavored food then this is the place to go! They bless you on the amount of food and it's at a very good price. Good people with nice hospitality. Thank you as always ❤️❤️❤️
