Best WLM Reviews
I know this is a seafood boil restaurant but let me tell you, they have the BEST lobster rolls in the seven cities. I drive from Suffolk just to get one. I’ve been to other places that are “lobster restaurants “ and they pale in comparison. The toasted, buttered roll and huge portion of lobster just hits the spot. My husband had a crawfish boil and loved it, they were huge! The garlic parm wings were great too. Our server was awesome, couldn’t ask for more!
We got the Combo C seafood boil with boil bay seasoning (which combines all the sauce options) and it was delicious! Our waitress Kiki was delightful and very sweet. The decor is eclectic and the people watching was sublime. A thoroughly enjoying and entertaining experience, even without any live music. Would go back!
Reserved a table for 20 people for a birthday dinner. Couldn't be seated until half of the party arrived. The table arrangement was terrible. Instead of everybody sitting together, it was grouped 10 and 10, and it wouldn't allow easy comfortable socialization between the two tables. The rationale for the table arrangement didn't make sense and ended up being put together after I went and spoke to somebody. The manager, hostess, and the waiter acted like they had somewhere better to be. There was no live band or karaoke, and we went on a Friday night. The food was good tho!
Unique restaurant away from the tourist crowds. I had their chicken tenders basket and they were the best tenders I’ve ever had. A ton of french fries which were very good. My husband said the blue crabs were very good. Everything was very reasonably priced. A lot of families were there.
We’ll definitely come back the next time we’re back at Virginia Beach.
The sea food here is really good and they give you enough juice/sauce to dip it in. They season their food really good as well. It is pricey but really good!
Not sure what all the hype is about, but this place wasn't anything special. On the pricier side. Came here for my wife's birthday. Ordered the soft shell crab sandwich, Cajun fries, and boil of Snow crab, King crab, and green mussels with the "super" spicy sauce. Sauce wasn't spicy at all. The taste was unbalanced as it was too buttery and salty. The sauce thickened towards the end. The soft shell crab sandwich wasn't anything special. The waitress was super friendly and constantly checked on us. The atmosphere and vibes of the place are cool.
Absolutely love this place! I’ve ordered from them 3 times in a past week and food has been delicious. Love the neat and clean packaging they provide so the bags of seafood never leak. I usually go for combo C and it’s plenty of food. Boil bay sauce is delicious and I always recommend to get that one with extra old bay. Crab legs and mussels are always tasty and nicely cooked. Definitely a returning customer
We've been coming here for the last 2 years to celebrate my nephews birthday, which happens to be Valentine's day because he loves boil bags. Our server was great, but the food on this visit not so much. The kitchen got my order wrong when I asked for no sausage and substitute for extra corn. When my bag came out, the ticket was correct, but they loaded my bag up with sausage and NO corn. So our server brought out corn (which I had to slouch around in the bag to sauce them and I had to pick out the million pieces of sausage. Some of the shrimps and snow crabs were not fresh because they were mushy and the meat was a different texture,???? almost as if they had been reheated before. This was disappointing for our family because 2 other people in our party had the same experience. With the rising cost of inflation I expect to get FRESH food if I'm having to pay $65 for food with an automatic 18% gratuity due to having a party of 6. We didn't even complain to the manager because the owners are not american and we didn't want to make a big deal out of things. Our server was great and understood our sentiments and discounted our tickets unbeknownst to us, until he mentioned he took 10% off the check. I think we'll choose a different place to go celebrate my nephew's birthday next year, because OLD Seafood is not it!
