This was a great spot, it was reccomended by a local and has apparently been around for years!! And it is easy to see why, food was delicious and honestly I think this may have been the best corned beef I have ever had!! Staff was attentive and accommodating. Will definitely vist here again next time I am in the area.
I had the pastrami sandwich which was excellent. The service was excellent. Very clean restaurant. However it’s pricey. $21.68 for a sandwich potato chips and a coke. Maybe I’ll come in every couple of months but certainly not an every week kind of place for my budget.
Rueben: Tasty sandwich. 1000 Is little weak & could have little more sauerkraut.
Bet they have a lot of repeat business.
First time here. Was very excited to try this place. At first I enjoyed the old school vibe. However it took at least 45 min once we sat down until we served. I ordered a Ruben and my wife ordered eggs and corned beef hash. We did not appreciate our waitress petting a dog inside the restaurant and then grabbing our silverware and plates of food. You can see inside the kitchen from a portion of the restaurant. Kind of question the cleanliness of this place if this is allowed.
I only go on Tuesdays for the Corned Beef & Cabbage special. It is expensive but it is AMAZING everytime. The atmosphere is as welcoming as Grandma's kitchen. Very much a home style place. Good for takeout, solo dine-ins & dates. They also make their own bread!
Nothing beats great corned beef as a comfort food, and Bodes does it better than anyone else! I’ve eaten there many times for hot and cold sandwiches, but today I ventured with an Irish Benedict breakfast which included corned beef, hollandaise sauce, and a side of corn beef hash. Fantastic! They also make homemade sourdough bread which can be seen in one of the pictures here with their baker and owner, Dave. Thanks as always for a great experience!
It's been a while since I've been here and they didn't disappoint.
The Reubens already died for and a must try.
You see it yourself when you get there and something usually comes to it cyst you and ordering within a minute. They're very attentive to drink refills as well as helping you with your order if you're not sure what to get.
It's amazing to sit by the window to watch the trains go by.
This place is Absolutely Awesome. Our beautiful waitress, Olivia Great Service ????! Not only did she keep our beverages full, she recommended menu items that were very delicious!
The cooks, Cass & Jonny were Awesome as well, the corned beef mm mm good!! The strawberry waffle, had just the right amount of crunch on the outside and softness in the inside.
I will definitely visit again with even more of my family and friends!!
