Always more than a haircut. You make friends for life. The atmosphere is amazing. Go see Bod and great barber and a great person. One of the best guys I ever know.
I came here for the ratings but there's no indication this is by appointment only. I wish I could get a haircut but no one answers the phone and the door is locked with no one to answer. Im leaving 3 stars because the building looks nice. Approach at your own discretion. He/she might not be looking for new business...a shame.

You can't take a little bit of criticism either. I only found out it was appointment only after going online and reading reviews. Yet, on his/her building, he/she has open signs everywhere and the door would be locked. I'm not looking to start trouble. It is my right to refuse your call. By that point, I was already at another local barber getting a haircut. I'm only reporting my experience. His/her response seems to provide insight into his overall personality type. Furthermore, I'm not sure I'd want a person with a snappy attitude just because he/she couldn't handle criticism. And yes, approaching at one's discretion is necessary since the hours and conflicting answers about the business operation hours are difficult to grasp. How does one know if the owner is available for a haircut? By phone call? And if one doesn't answer? A customer should wait for a call back? Should they go to the building? Well, it's locked even though signs say "open." Should a customer wait around like a trespasser hoping the owner would notice them? Is there an interface to make appointments? No.
So yes, approach at one's discretion. This isn't personal. It's a critique of your business sir/madam. Suggestion:
Put a big sign at the front saying "by appointment only." It's not difficult, considering the business has been operational for 30 years.
And for someone being so harsh, I still managed to leave 3 stars. That's not damning in any sense.
It's no surprise Bob's is the neighborhood favorite it is. 20 years seeing them now (on and off with no hard feelings) and my best advice is to be specific with your barber. Classic barbershop atmosphere with skill in all diff avenues of cutting. Also recommended to people with shy kids.
I've been coming to bob to get my haircut since the place opened and I've never had a complaint about my hair nor do I want to or have gone anywhere else since. All 3 of them are great at what they do and they make the shop feel like a home. Everyone including strangers I've never met come in and conversate/busting chops like we've known each other for years. I highly recommend this place to anyone, young, old, whether your new or not. Great prices and very professional. I'd give 6 stars but this website wont let me
Bob is a great barber. Very friendly, great prices, and the haircuts are phenomenal.
Tip: This shop is by appointment only
Been getting my hair cut by Bob Sr. since 1968 and never switched barbers since. The ship is relaxing and friendly and it's a place you look forward to visiting every month or so. Bob Jr. is a true pro at his craft as well and a worthy successor of his dad. Six stars. Visit around Christmas week for a bit of holiday cheer on the way out after your cut.
I have been taking my son to Bob's for about a year now. D always cuts his hair. She does an awesome job Everytime. For the 1st time ever my son has said that he loves getting his hair cut. I will never take him anywhere else!!!!
Been a regular for over 3 years now. Bob is the man. There's no one else I trust with my hair. Always a good time at the shop, never a dull moment and plenty of laughs to go around.
