I was VERY disappointed. I went here because of their reviews and now I know that person must have been related.
I will never go there again.
They did have really good fries, but the beef was not that good. Ordered sport peppers and they gave me sweet peppers. But that was not the problem I was expecting a good beef sandwich. This cost $14
Won't happen again, is all I can say!!
Authentic Chicago fast food done right.
They have some stuff you won’t find elsewhere- check out the rice pudding, it's excellent!- but most of the food plays close to the standard fare, but in the best way. The hotdogs and burgers are all excellent and reasonably priced. The fries are fresh, soft and tasty. I've tried a lot of the different fare here, and it was all good, delivered quickly, with generous portions.
Just a heads-up: Cash only! There's an ATM inside.
I'm from Missouri and I've been told to try a Chicago dog. My friend and I looked for a place that was good for making Chicago dogs and the locals told us to go here. The food was every bit I was hoping it would be. Definitely worth it. Never doubt the locals they are always the best for good information.
First time stopping in. Tried the chicken sandwich. Cooked well, wish it were just a tad thicker and seasoned more. The bbq sauce was good tho. Now the fries. The fries are really good. I'm definitely coming back for those!
Literally the most authentic Chicago diner in the whole city. I've been out here for almost 9 years now and I didn't know Italian beef could taste even better than I've already experienced. Also the FRIES were incredible. Everything here is amazing. Hands down the best food in the city. ????????
Fantastic little hotdog joint. Cash only, stools inside and picnic tables outside. Food was fabulous, great classic Chicago dog and hand cut fries. Come rolled together. For the price, AMAZING.
Polish and fries were great, along with the chili with tamales. But the woman at the register was RUDE and had a lot of attitude for my liking!!! Won’t be going back…
Think there was too much hype which this place didn't live up to. Maybe it was an off day? I got the trio and a hotdog. I shouldve just got the Italian beef. Didn't think the fries were anything special either. I'd still give it another shot given the chance
