I loved their Grilled chicken breast & it had avocado on it. It had roasted corn I think. It's been a week or so since I was there but it was totally delicious! The hostess & waitress both were jovial, attentive & the food was hot & amazing! Imma order the same thing next time!
My dinner of country fried steak was served HOT and the mashed potatoes were HOT and the green beans were HOT. I was surprised to receive a dinner that was not lukewarm as in most restaurants. And everything was delicious and the right textures. My husband was happy with his omelette but it was not quite what he expected. The waiter was attentive and always smiling. I even had leftovers to take home, as the portions were generous. Also calories were listed on the menu. Thank you Bob!
Do you think that you could make the place colder? I sleep with my windows open until it’s below 50 and I was freezing! Very uncomfortable and when I complained others chimed in as well. I was told that it was settings ordered by the District Manager. Well Bad Decision!
Also had to send the biscuits back. They were hard as rocks. The new ones were better but not as I remember.
Entree was Ok.
We decided to stop because they didn't look busy yet. Around 2-3pm. They weren't busy. I believe it was the manager that seated us. Dark hair? He brought us drinks, then told us our server would be with us as soon as possible. She had a table of 9! she was taking care of! We waited, patiently 10-15 minutes. While we waited, the same man seated a couple in the booth behind us. Their server was there immediately, as they were being seated. I asked the manager (?) why they were already putting in their orders while we were still waiting. He said the new server had just started, but our server would be with us as soon as she finished the 9!! He smiled and rushed away before I could respond. The final straw was the manager seated 2 more couples. The server was taking the 1st of the 2 order.
This meant our food would be behind the 3 couples, at least. No idea about the 9.Unbelievable!! We walked out!
Felt completely disrespected. As if our business wasn't needed, appreciated or important.
Horrible customer service.
Why the 1 star? While food was typical for a Bob Evans, servers really did their best with us, there is ABSOLUTELY no excuse for any order to take nearly an hour to arrive at our table. We left a place that had a 35 minute wait to come here, were seated and waited on promptly, but then had to wait. Restaurant was only half full at best.
This Bob Evans was a bit different then most !! Close quarters w/o dividers made it a little less pleasant having a close conversation right over your shoulder ! Waiter was great, greeter seemed to hate her job, no smile, no pleasantries at all & seemed to be generally unhappy !! Food was S-L-O-W for the early( 11:45 am ) time ! Even overheard 2 of the waiters complaining how slow the cooks were ! Food was actually pretty good though ! More then I could eat at one sitting for sure ! I would not hesitate stopping by again !! Over all good enough to not get all impatient for good food over ! Priced about like everything else these days !!
When all else fails, there's usually a Bob Evans somewhere nearby. Reliable? Yes. Consistent? Yes. Do they serve high quality food? Or interesting food? No. Breakfast menu is best and a staple, so I would hang out in that neighborhood. But, otherwise, the overall experience is really just unremarkable and unmemorable.
Came for breakfast this morning and got the best customer service from both Johnathan K and Gary up front!! They were super positive and polite. Both of them did an outstanding job at greeting customers and helping get them seated where they would like. So refreshing to see people so happy and excited to be working. I will come back just because of them!
