They were busy and service was slow. Ordered the Farm Hand breakfast, 2 biscuits with egg, cheese, 1 sausage, 1 bacon, hash browns, and a side of gravy. It was good, kitchen was doing great getting orders out quickly.
So I'm a traveling truck driver I'm from South Dakota and Jackson Ohio is my in the middle stop that I always make. There's a movie out specifically that mentioned Bob Evans and ever since 2019 I've always wanted to go to Bob Evans last year was my first time so now I'm a repeat offender every time I see that place. So today I walk in Sunday 4-28-24, 7:00am get a table messing around on my phone I was there for an hour and a half I finished eating the waiter comes up to me and says hey I wanted to let you know someone paid for your food and I was a shock because that's never happened to me before I've done that I like doing that it makes me feel better. And the waiter seem to be running her butt off and making sure everybody was taken care of I had a really good experience here I always have at any Bob Evans I go to and being out on the road especially over the weekends missing my family it's a big deal to me it's hard it's not easy and when I can come to a place like this more people are nice it just makes all the difference in the world to me. So if the manager does read this whoever open Sunday morning at 7:00 there was a big Burly guy in there with a cut off of tattoos and a headset on please give her some credit she was very very good to me and I really really appreciate how awesome she made me feel so please tell her good job I would really appreciate that. Thank you all and I will be seeing you again
If you dine eat expect the best. If you order take out lower your expectations as low as you can go. This is the second time we've ordered Cobb salads and both times they looked like someone's leftovers. One If the salads has lettuce, chicken, 3 tiny pieces of old looking tomato and a 1/4 tsp of bacon. It was all stirred together like they were trying to hide the fact that so much of it was missing. I overlooked the first time because anything can happen once but two times? There won't be a third.
Someone in the kitchen is ticked at doing take out orders and wants everyone to know. This is the first time in my life to write a bad review and I'm 71 yrs old. Shame on the employee who made our salads.
Food as always at Bob Evan's was great. But the best part of our visit was our waitress Nora. She was AMAZING. She was so friendly and helpful. Even helping us decide on a hotel to spend the night. Her advice was very much appreciated. She went above and beyond just serving the excellent food. She seems to really enjoy her job, which is so refreshing. We will remember her and stop here on our way home and any time we travel this way.
I ordered the honey chicken dinner. The chicken was not done. The mashed potatoes were good however the gravy was extremely salty and greasy. The corn was not good. Biscuit was hard like it was leftovers. My husband had the homestead breakfast. It was cold and so greasy. Bacon was 1/2 cooked and home fries were burnt and cold. Horrible will not be going back.
For some reason this location really struggles with their carry out. I had ordered a sandwich and I didn’t even get half of what was supposed to come on the sandwich and they really don’t fill the containers like they do the plates it’s been really disappointing
I hate to be so negative BUT....worst food I have ever had at a Bob's!
All of our food was cool but my friends soup was cold, even the bowl was cold and the potato she ate was crunchy. My gravy looked as though it had been sitting on the counter for an hour and was not hot, just barely warm.
My husband & his friend got sweet tea & it was not! No one came around, so my husband had to go to the counter and finally got the tea switched out. Finally, it was sweet. Our friend got a replacement when the waitress finally made it back to the table, and the tea was still NOT sweet. (She even told us that someone else commented about the tea not being sweet & she just thought they were complaining to complain) Really? Then, we also heard a couple next to us complain about the "sweet" tea, 20 mins after we did. So obviously, someone didn't add sugar to the tea.
Although the waitress tried to make it right by not charging us for the soup that was cold & my gravy. When the soup was finally brought back - it was so hot it couldn't be ate - we just got it to go.
I realize anyone or a company can have a bad day, BUT when it's more than one thing, that goes wrong or isn't right.... something needs fixin'. (Staff either needs replaced OR retrained!)
So very disappointing!
This restaurant continues to be horrible. At 6:00 PM my party is 7 arrived and was told that it was going to a 15-20 minute wait, so we waited. At 6:45 we still were not seated and came to find out that it was going to be even longer because the kitchen was “backed up”. In the almost hour that we sat and waited for a seat, 16 people walked in and left because there was no host at the host stand. The waitresses were screaming at the kitchen workers. A woman who ordered online had her order be “misplaced” so they made a “new” order. Not even 20 minutes later she came back and wanted a refund because they forgot all of her sauces, her chicken was cold and dry, and there was no silverware. Two elderly women came in a few minutes after my party, were told 15-20 minutes and sat around the same time we did. We gave the place the benefit of the doubt after having bad and cold food from here multiple times. I highly doubt we will be back anytime soon!
