Recommend getting both their signature rice roll dish combo and their fish noodle soup (large). Flavorful and delicious! Add some chili to their soup to get a little heat. The place is a little tight, but it's worth the wait!
Wanted a quick breakfast. Was feeling like some banh cuon. Came here after doing a quick search before work. I ordered the #7 their special banh cuon. It was pretty tasty. Wasn't expecting the rolls to be rolled with eggs. Never had that before. It wasn't bad but kind of the of the taste for me. Sweet potato fries was nice. The green peanut bread was decent but other places gave a bigger piece. Was disappointed in the small piece. Other than that it was good.
Fresh bánh cuốn, love the grilled pork, the fish sauce and everything extra on the plates.
I also ordered Bánh Bèo, a Huế speciality, didn't expect it to be that great, but it's surprisingly delicious!
The food quality is excellent with big portion. We have their signature rice roll dish combo (banh cuốn đặc biệt), and the combo fish noodle soup. They also serve a lightly sweetened herbal ice tea that was very refreshing. More importantly, the service staff was very friendly, polite and attentive. The wait is a bit long during weekend lunch hours, but it is so worth it. .
Don’t be fool by the small shop, it’s an excellent hole in the hole that packs a lot of happy customers.
It’s not your typical Pho noodle shop, the rice noodles are more delicate with fresh and flavorful ingredients.
The specialty is in the store name which we understand is their signature rice rolls dish. Every rice roll dish comes with egg rolls, steamed ham, fried prawn/yams, shallot, bean sprouts and yummy herbs.
Recommend #7 and #19. Reasonable price, good portions, and friendly services.
Bonus: try the Daboba tea shop in the same mall!
I came here for the first time and ordered to-go since it's packed here and you have a wait for a long time if you come during peak hours after 10 AM. I heard the line could be wilder since this place is popular, so plan to go early if possible.
Luckily they have pics demonstrating the dish so you can know how it looks and what ingredients are included. If you don't know, the cashier will point it out without you asking for it if it's your first time.
The price is higher than other places; however, their dish, number 8 I ordered, had many parts of rolls such as pork, shrimp, spring rolls, fried sweet potatoes, etc., so that's why.
The wait to go was around 15 mins; I came back to pick it up after 20 mins. The food got cold when I ate it, but it was still good. My suggestion is to dine in there since the steamed rolls are not the to-go foods; if you do, microwave them first.
Customer service was excellent and friendly. In addition, they gave me a drink for FREE, which surprised me, and it was good as well.
The minimum for card use is $15, so if you use under, they will charge 50 cents which were acceptable to me since I did not have cash. Please don't run to get cash or try to be cheap since your time is more valuable than the 50 cents.
I will come back to try other dishes when I'm in town again and during non-peak hours :D
One of the best places to get banh cuon in OC. Went on a Sunday around noon. Wait was about 15-20 mins. Even though it's a small restaurant, the turn around is pretty quick. Note: There's a waitlist sign-in sheet. Service was quick and the food came out shortly thereafter. Good portions for the price. Might recommend sharing if you're not hungry. The banh cuon was fresh and perfectly thin. We tried the trung dac biet, the reg dac biet, and the tom. Everything was excellent. All the toppings from the fried pork ham to the fried shrimp cake were delicious.
They are definitely top of the list in customer service, and their food are delicious!
We were greeted by a very friendly and lovely hostess. She even apologized for the long wait in cold weather (they were just busy at the time!)I love their bánh cuốn (steamed rice roll). The addition of fries were nice and I love the jar of sauce they give you. I tried their bánh canh as well and I like their broth, this is more like bánh canh bột lọc style (the chewy noodles style) (heads up for anyone looking for the bánh canh bột gạo style, it’s not!). Another thing I love is they give nước mát (sweet herbal drink) for free! All employees have a very friendly attitude towards customers, even when they were super busy. Our experience at this place was absolutely pleasant from start to finish.
Parking is spacious. However, since they are really popular, you can expect to wait anywhere from 15-25 minutes on waiting list. I recommend this place if you want to have bánh cuốn.
