Best WLM Reviews

Honest. Knowledgeable. Quick. Caring. These are just a a few of the words that gives BMC five stars. The owner and techs thoroughly explained the issues with my vehicle and went above and beyond to make sure my car was well taken care of. I literally spent hundreds less than I would have at the dealership and the service was better. 100% recommend this shop for all services.
UPDATE: it’s been two months since my last service with BMC. I had to take my car back in for a service engine light and some problems with my suspension. It’s hard to believe, but this experience was even better than my last one! Everyone there is so very kind. They treat you like a very valued customer and they care about making sure that everything is done right, is cost-effective and very transparent. Everything is explained thoroughly. The most incredible part is the honesty and fairness with the prices of parts and service. They go WAY above and beyond to make sure you’re treated fairly and that the work has been done to the highest standards. Bottom line is they love what they do and they will make you feel confident that you’ve chosen the right shop. I can’t recommend them any higher.
Amazing service from honest and sincere people! Chai was outstanding at explaining everything wrong with my BMW 7. The Sterling BMW dealer was about to rip me off with an unbelievably long list of repairs that would have virtually replaced the car with parts for everything and topped 10 grand! But Chai focused on the important things that needed fixing and left off the stuff that the dealer claimed “had to be repaired”. BMC saved me a lot of money and the car works perfect now. Chai and BMC are honest and excellent service and repair people for your BMW! Go nowhere else for your service. Special thanks to Toni who was so kind and reached out to update me throughout the process.
I have nothing but great things to say about the services of BMC. I have been bringing my car BMW 325i 2001 since 2013. They are super friendly and knowledgeable mechanics, They saved me thousands dollars on parts and repairs compared to the dealer. I bring my vehicle for maintenance annually and they take care of whatever needs to be done, repairs, oil change, winterizing etc. they only tell me what needs to done and don’t do any unnecessary repairs. They are great and honest people. They have my back as far as I own this old car. I’m glad to have found BMC and I have recommended them to couple of my coworkers.
Even 5 stars is not enough for BMC Automotive. I have been a customer since 2012, once my first 3 series got out of the warranty period and I am now back again that my second 3 series is out of warranty. I had a scary incident on the weekend where the brakes of my car failed and I ended up on a sidewalk to avoid a collision with traffic in the intersection I was barreling towards. I called them up on Monday morning (panicked) and the car was with them by afternoon. They spent HOURS looking into this for me and could have come back with a list of “repairs” knowing they had a terrified customer on their hands. They were honest with their findings and I can’t even put in words what it means to find a place that will tell you the truth, not inflate to make a few hundred dollars (or more) at the expense of a shook up customer. This isn’t the only experience I have had that has shown me their honesty. Pre-pandemic, I had brought in my car for work that cost me around $400 while the dealer quoted me over $800 (!?!). That aside, I thought I had an issue with the settings on my radio, another way any other shop could have easily made money as I was convinced there was a problem. Not BMC, someone sat with me and showed me there was no issue and what I was doing wrong. You just don’t see people like this anymore. So when they tell me something is needed for my car, I don’t question it. Their humanity and honesty speaks for itself, they have a customer for life.
BMC Automotive Services is one of the best BMW repairs in Northern Virginia. I have been a customer for almost five years now and I give it Five Stars. I have spoken with other BMC customers from North Carolina and elsewhere. They wouldn't trust any other BMW dealer mechanics except BMC Automotive Services. You can expect to save a lot of money because the honesty of BMC.
Chai and his team are as good as they come--Trustworthy and willing to go the extra mile! I saved $650 having a timing belt changed as compared to the dealership and a lot on other repairs and maintenance, too. They have performed repairs on two of our Japanese- and German-made cars, and we could not be more pleased!
I have had service done at BMC automotive for several years now. They have worked on my BMW 325, a 325ci Convertible, and an X3. Their work is excellent, always on time, and communication is wonderful. Pricing is always fair and always below dealer pricing (except for oil change promotions at the dealer). I have had the dealer misdiagnose problems and Chai has always figured out the problem, while saving me thousands of dollars on repair costs. BMW's are not inexpensive to maintain, but with BMC having my back, I continue to own these well driving vehicles.
I took my 2006 325i in for a battery problem wherein the car wouldn't start without a jump, for which BMC charged me $100 for a diagnostic. I figured I'd try BMC based on reviews here, and because I'm not hugely price sensitive, the $100 wasn't a big deal. However, after running the diagnostic, they recommended a new battery at a cost of $515, literally $200 more than competing shops within a quarter mile of their site. That left me feeling like they were trying to take advantage of my car's condition--not a good feeling. For that, I would've given them an average rating...
However, then I looked in my trunk to see if the BMC techs had done anything to the battery. While I was doing my own checking before taking the car to the shop, I had removed the trunk's battery cover (the cloth/felt part of the car that sits atop the battery) and removed the arm that keeps the battery in place. It turns out that BMC didn't bother to even physically look at the battery, or if they did, they didn't bother putting the arm or the battery cover back in place--they were both rolling around in the trunk freely. For $100, they didn't even bother to visually inspect the battery itself, or at least didn't bother to put things back in place. I don't know what kind of shop doesn't bother to look at the source of the problem, but it's not one I'll go to again.
Try Viking Automotive down the street for way better prices and service that actually fixes issues rather than recommending outrageously priced services.
