Best WLM Reviews
The inside isn't open for brunch so the seating is all outdoors which was great with the weather. The service was attentive and not overbearing. The food was great and enough to gold you over for the remainder of the day. The avocado toast was made perfect with the right amount of avocado. Not sure why they call it tartar if there isn't any tuna on it. Oysters come with a miniature bottle of tobacco which was the cutest thing I've seen. Would recommend fmthis place for brunch.
First, gorgeous atmosphere! An impressive design channeling a 1930ish vibe. Dark and romantic. Great place to take someone for a first date. Be prepared to pay $$$$. The food was good, was it spectacular no. Don't get me wrong the food was good. The steak was cooked almost perfectly, the mashed potatoes were creamy but MEH., the asparagus was cooked well a little too much sauce ( ask for it on the side) it was hard to taste the asparagus with all the sauce all over it. Both salads, the Caesar salad and the chopped salad both has way too much salad dressing (ask for dressing in the side) were hard to taste due to the dressing. But again everything was good. The highlights were the dessert especially the cheesecake and the cocktails. The selection of spirits was also notable. The other plus was service...it was outstanding. Tip: The lounge/restrooms are on the second floor. Cocktail are great so be careful walking up and down the amazing dramatic staircase ????.

We were excited to try the brunch in our first visit. The outdoor patio was gorgeous and we got seated right away. Service was great!Overall, the experience was good. The menu was pretty good! The french toast is not photogenic but it was delicious. Tasted like a moist cake with mascarpone cheese and strawberry/maple jam (just sweet enough). My omelette and the avocado toast were good. The beet salad was surprisingly tasty; the apple made it crunchy. The mushrooms were perfect! The 3 stars are mainly given due to the lack of flexibility. My friend is vegetarian and wanted to have the omelette with veggies but that was not an option. No substitutions are allowed and she understood that, however, it was just unbelievable when she asked to have the avocado toast with an over medium egg instead of over easy. The server came back and said the kitchen could not make the change. She insisted on it since it was a reasonable request, the server agreed, and it was served over hard (see pic). Disappointing, to say the least since eggs are a basic part of a brunch menu. To end on a good note, I have to say we all loved the coffee, strong but not bitter. Also had a taste of the pineapple paradise cocktail and it was good! I would probably go back to try the dinner menu in the beautifully decorated interior with the impressive chandelier.
The food wasn't worth the price, but the service was great. Beautiful ambiance, chandelier was mesmerizing. We are still hungry after the $300++ bill for two people and one child . I tried 3 types of drinks and none of them were good. I wouldn't recommend it . Basically, you're paying for the ambiance, not the food.
The minute we walked in, we loved the atmosphere and ambiance. The service and staff were impeccable. My mother LaVerne Weitzel had taken my niece a few months prior and couldn’t stop bragging about this restaurant. She took my husband and I yesterday and it was an amazing experience. We will return every time we are in Chicago!!!
Loved the service and the food! Sides are good amount and are shareable! Wish we got to sit in the main dining room area but we’re seated on the other side.
Beautiful restaurant from the interior as well as outside. The hostess seated us promptly, amazing seating. They have valet it was $18 for the first 3 hours. We were there to celebrate a birthday. Little birthday treat for the birthday girl after dinner. The food was great. Tried a couple of appetizers and did steaks for the main course. The sides are made to be shared. Recommend the steak tartar. Added photos for reference.
