Best WLM Reviews

Mix feelings about this place! The view is beautiful! The lunch menu is okay. The service is terrible! We went there on Mother’s Day hoping to have a nice brunch & the server took 20 minutes to come to us. There were only 1 more couple seated at the bar. We started ordering mimosas at that table in the patio. Because it was almost noon and there was no shade in the patio, we asked if we could please move inside. The server told us you go and pick the table you like & left. He never tried to help us move the drinks. He even didn’t care or tried to help my grandma, who is 82. Once inside, we realized the server & bartender was the same person. I asked for glasses to drink our mimosas because we didn’t like the plastic glasses. From the bar, he sent took another lady to give us the cristal glasses & they were NASTY dirty, so I nicely ask the lady to clean it for us. Finally, after another 15 minutes the bartender server took our order. I ordered BBQ chicken wins. 35 minutes later, he served me buffalo wings. I raised my han about 5 times. He made eye contact once & started walking towards our table when he turned around to talk to people waiting at the entrance. Next thing I know a new guy stopped by our table asking if we were there for the Mother’s Day buffet & I shared with him no one had shared anything about it & how we felt. This guy offered a round of mimosas on him, but we weren’t interested due to their BAD service. How come they only had 1 person serving the bar & side tables on a Mother’s Day? It totally makes zero sense. Very disappointing to had wait over 1hr to get the wrong food! They can do a lot better!
New to the area and there isn't much in the immediate vicinity. But this place saved the day. Didn't realize at first that it was in the DoubleTree hotel, but once inside, the view was amazing.
The menu was not what I expected, but much more. Quiet place, so I can come to get some work done while enjoying some great food. The wings were great, because of the sauce! Frank's Red Hot Wing sauce! The steak frites were fantastic. I will come back to try more items from the menu and some of the drinks from the bar
The host, a delightful woman, welcomed me politely and sat me quickly. I ordered the blackened mahi sandwich. It was fine but no one would have ever known because the server, committing the cardinal sin, never came back to my table to ask me if everything was ok with my meal. And to add insult to injury, I had to get up to get my check because the staff were at the bar looking at their cell phones. I will not eat here again!
Its an overall average restaurant. Food is hit or miss. Ordered multiplt times. Buffalo wings were too salty. Salmon & lemon rice was really good. Only thing bothered was the bones in my salmon which is unusual & undesirable. Beautiful pool and sea view. Sometimes only 1 server, thus hard for him to keep up with customers
Not bad for a hotel restaurant. I stayed in rm 345, The wings and the margarita flatbread was a nice lil snack. Drinks are a little weak. Only thing I didn't like about it.... its so noisy outside on the patio the days I was there, due to some generator going and it's really annoying trying to enjoy the scenery and pool vibes with all the racket. I had to ask... whats all that noise?? Other than that. It was okay!
Fantastic!! Let's start by saying that the menu and bar selection are head and shoulders above what you expect from a hotel. Not to mention the sunset view of the bay!!
Like our dinning experience, we'll begin with the appetizers. The Caribbean Ahi stack belongs in a museum! Great flavor and even better presentation. Then the Steak Fries, only one word can describe this, PERFECTION. If you are ordering from the bar, do yourself a favor and get the BLUFIN Lagoon or DT Poolside Sour. Or both!!
Service was amazing and I couldn't ask for a better night. Even if I don't stay in the hotel next time I'm down here, I will come for lunch or dinner.
Close to the Tampa International Airport, I decided to stop for lunch before taking my flight. I wanted to go some where that had a view of the water.
I decided to sit at the bar to get the best view. They do have areas on either side of the bar or there is a raised platform where more tables are for a view. If it had been nice outside they do have outdoor sitting right next to the pool.
I chose the Quesadillas with Chicken. I add guacamole as well. It comes with sour cream and salsa. The chicken had a nice grill or smoky taste to it. I think I would pass on the guacamole next time as it didn't seem fresh but pre made. The bartender was very helpful and checked on me regularly.
If you are not a hotel guest you can get the front desk to validate your parking for free. In my case someone had run into the gate earlier that day so no one had to pay.
I think I made a wise choice as airport restaurants can be crowded and noisy. I do have a suggestion. When visiting this restaurant I think it is better to go late afternoon. When high tide is out. Around 11 in the morning it is low tide and a lot of the water is gone and you see a lot of sand bars. Definitely at the very least go here for drinks.
The drinks are great and the view of the pool and waterfront are just as good.
I had some pasta which was slightly overcooked, but the chicken quesadilla was delicious.
The staff are friendly, attentive, and professional.
