Best WLM Reviews

Flew my mom in for the holidays. Went Christmas shopping and we decided to have some nice Mexican food. Asked the lady behind the cashier if they had burritos as the electronic menu board was turned off. She said no. Then told me “Yes, we do. That’s a stupid question.” I asked for a manager because I was kind of shocked at how rude she was. I have an elderly mother who is visiting from rural Canada and was shocked. She told me she was the manager, and then mentioned her uncle worked in the Colonel’s office for some reason.
I walked away dumbstruck at the entitled nature of this woman. Do not recommend. I had to assure my mother that people were not usually this rude, especially on military installations.
As the kid who made this travesty of a burrito prompted me to enter my debit card into the card reader without hesitation as if nothing were wrong I was flabbergasted. Did this child really expect me to purchase this like this? Is this how they teach their staff how to fold burritos? The employee then proceeded to try and convince me that it is supposed to be wrapped like this for easy access. I may have even been convinced because of the confidence in his lie, but it was just so... ugh. I then told him to go get another foil to cover it while I tendered payment, and then proceeded to cradle this "burrito" with two hands back to my car.
Absolutely no flavor in my burrito, I also almost broke my tooth on a WHOLE PEPPERCORN. My buddy got saved by a keen eyed employee who spotted a large hair in the rice. Won’t be eating here again, not an appealing look with staff bickering behind the counter and the stall looking like it was decorated at target. Low quality, low effort.
The workers here are rude and lazy. I asked for some chili sauce in a cup, but the worker decided dump the chili sauce into the tray with my burrito. The sauce got all over the tin foil cover and was unusable. This was done by a worker girl who’s shift was on 15 Jun at 12pm.
The food and customer service couldn’t have gotten any worse. The dude that was making the food was touching everything that you shouldn’t touch while making food. The rice was crunchy. The steak had no flavor. My dog could make much better food than this place.
Gross food and was terrible. I could make better food at home. Don't go there
Let me begin by first stating that I would not refer anyone to this establishment, the employees are in dire need of cross contamination training and it’s only a matter of time before an unlucky customer wished they read this review before consuming their sloppy handled food. Upon ringing their bell for service a young man with fully stained top and bottom black clothing begins to take my order, I immediately see he puts on clear gloves which I think to myself is a good sign of balance. He starts scooping my rice and has difficulty getting it into the tray which then he begins to slap the spoon down onto the tray resulting in rice flying all over the counter and on top of other containers of food. Note that there is already different parts of the menu scattered on top and in between several of these containers of food. As we move down the counter to the veggies the next thing that caught me off guard was the manner in which he hand swiped the rice and other parts of the menu off the counter as if he was doing a lap or two in the pool. It was a bit comical at first but with a closer inspection I saw the food smack the already soiled and dirty cabinets that were directly behind the counter and I can’t imagine the floor. I guess what topped it for me was when it was time for the veggie selection, none of the veggie trays had utensils so with the same hand he begins to scoop out lettuce, tomatoes, corn… and then it occurred to me that throughout this exchange of services he was constantly adjusting his mask with the same gloved hand. For some reason I still paid $13.48 and maybe out of disbelief but it took the ride home to realize what the risks were and the overwhelming regret of paying so I threw out my Carnita Bowl in the trash. Blue River Mexican Grill needs to work on their housekeeping and employee training on properly handling food. If upper management is curious on who was on shift tonight Dec 20 at 6:46 PM don’t forget to check the schedule.
This was the saltiest carnitas bowl I have ever ordered anywhere and there were barely any carnitas. But at least it had lots of rice
