delightful place, one of our favorite spots. here are just a few examples of the excellent menu: spicy fried chicken sandwich and coconut shrimp tacos. delectable, 10/10. blue monkey never disappoints or misses. highly recommend the blue monkey burger, but the penne alla vodka is simply another level of good. great place to go with friends!
This place is amazing. I work next door at Gynsyng and I'm obsessed with the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Probably the best sandwich I've ever had. Juicy, tender GIGANTIC piece of well seasoned chicken breast that doesn't even fit between the soft brioche bun... with perfect amount of hot sauce and HOT crispy fries. I'd give it a 6 on a scale of 1-5!!!
I moved here almost a year ago and this has been my constant go-to place. I come here alone to study during lunch, and sometimes I come at night with friends, every experience is always a pleasure. They have a great cocktail and beer list and their food is fantastic! My boyfriend and I love the birra tacos and nachos (sub tots) with pulled pork- SO GOOD. Their burgers, salads, and cheese curds are also delicious!
We did not have a reservation- but when we got there, there were hosts who let us know it’d be about 10 min.
It was less than that, and we were taken back to our table. We were seated in the back- it was a little chilly so I’m glad I brought a cardigan.
Margaritas were lovely. I had the shrimp tacos- they were delish!
We shared veggie nachos.
Our waitress was attentive and very sweet.
Food, drinks, service all 5/5 for me.
Excellent food , the service was excellent , love the craft beer selection. My friend took me here as a recommendation and I love it! I would come back here another time!
Great small tavern. The nachos are fantastic. And the wings were as well. The nacho appetizer could actually be a meal. We tried the two burgers. Blue cheese and smash burger. Highly recommend and it was all really good. They cook the burger to your request, I don’t drink. But the locals here say they are great as well.
not sure what the hype is here. maybe it’s the vibe of the bar? it would probably be a good place to grab beer and watch sports but the food is mediocre at best. flatbread was undercooked with barely any meat on it, the “smash burger” is as thick as a regular restaurant hamburger. the best thing we had was the french onion soup, but it was extremely salty
Hamburger good. I didn't say how I wanted cooked, so it may have been better if I did. Will try this next time. Onion rings phenomenal. Most places serve frozen onion rings, and these were fresh, crispy, and actually had onion in them. Would have liked if they had specific dipping sauce for them, but not a deal breaker. I personally like dark, strong beers, and they ended up having one of the beers that I like, which is better than none. The cocktail was very good. Server Danielle was excellent. My husband liked his food and the environment, which is not an easy task. Prices are reasonable. Customers were friendly towards us as we walked in and gave some suggestions when they found out our first time here. Our first time here and will be back. Thank you, South Jersey Food Scene.
