When I searched for Seafood boil restaurants I came across this restaurant and decided to give it a try.
The service was really nice and the staff were really welcoming even when they were closing earlier than usual.
Everything was so good even if it’s not that fresh. I combined all the seasonings together and it was amazing.
I didn’t like the crab legs as they were frozen.
The shrimps, the vegetables and the calamari were delicious.
I would love to give it another try and I recommend it!
After we drove West in the morning, we drove around and ended up south of where we live and ate dinner at Blue Crab Juicy Seafood, located behind the Dayton Mall. Even though they were not busy, it took a while to be seated. A customer walked by us as we were waiting for someone to acknowledge us and said, "You are in for a long wait." We were eventually seated. The waitress, we didn't get her name, but she was getting married soon, was very nice. She kept stopping by to make sure everything was okay.
You can order already created bags of seafood, or you can create your own. You can pay by 1/2 pound, by pound, or the already created bags are priced differently. We both created our own. We had the same thing, shrimp, snow crab legs (one bunch), potatoes, I had corn on the cob, and Mark did not. I also had a bit more spice with mine. Yes, I did wear my bib and the plastic gloves they gave us so I wouldn't get the old bay seasoning on my wedding rings. Mark did not wear the gloves. We did not like the cheese bread. The cheese was not melted at all. $6 for cheese bread, I didn't eat mine, and Mark only ate half of his. That was disappointing.
Also, there was a man walking around, cleaning off tables and doing other things, had his earbuds in, and was talking on the phone the entire time.
The atmosphere was nice, and since it is in the old Max and Erma's, there is a bit of it remaining, which I appreciate. We have been to a few of these type of restaurants and we like them.
The food was delicious and service was great. I definitely recommend visiting.
My son absolutely loved the crab and shrimp boil with the signature sauce. We will be back for more. It was very clean and the service was great for our take out order.

I absolutely loved the food staff was amazing staff meeting Britney, our server she was super nice, super sweet paid attention to my daughter, which means a lot to me, and she was working at all while being pregnant, and I commend her for that. The place was clean, plenty of lightning natural lighting, which was absolutely beautiful. So many good choices, we could barely decide, but we were very happy with what we got. it was an all around wonderful experience and I can't wait to do it again.
My food was very good. Could have had a little more of the side dish. Seasoning needed just a pinch more. Will go back.
Eh. The boils were nothing special. The shrimp was cooked from frozen. The shells stuck to the meat. Overall it was mediocre at best. The cocktail sauce was served in very small quantities. Just not that impressive for the prices charged.
