I have so many memories of this place.I haven't been here in years and nothing about the warm and welcoming feeling changed. People are still wonderful and the food is still the same as I remember. Bread is different, still good. Truly a historical part of this town and great example of our city. Next visit will be soon, guaranteed! I got the turkey, ham and cheese (no tomatoes) and he got the monster burger.
Loved the customer service! Bread was crazy fresh and soft. Meat was just not enough for the bread and price. Yes I am going to try again.

Really cool old Jacksonville landmark with incredible food. It does take a bit of time to get your food but everything from the bread to the toppings are made fresh and to order so it’s 100% worth it! Staff were friendly and the dining room was clean. I will definitely return.

Ive heard about this shop and it's been on my list of places to go. Finally got the chance and it didn't disappoint. Lives up to the hype. Massive sandwiches at a great price! I got the ultimate club for $15 and it legitimately can feed a family of 4. It's huge!! The portions are great but the quality of the meats and sandwiches are great as well. Very tasty and will definitely be ordering again.
I'm glad I found this place! It was hard to rate because the food is FANTASTIC and well priced, but there are many management flaws too. First off, I placed my order online and had trouble with the parking so that gave them about 25 minutes for my sandwich. I had to wait inside an additional 30 minutes. Even that is too long to wait if I had just walked in and placed an order. It's a small, quaint joint but filled with people anxious because their whole lunch break was over and still no food. The service was good but they were confused and unorganized. People were waiting for a long time and many people came in and left. They could REALLY benefit from a professional analyzing and reorganizing the process. Now the food! HUGE portions - pay for one "regular" sandwich at about 16 bucks and get 4 small sandwiches! (see picture) I ordered a reuben. They make their own bread and it was delicious. I got a side of fries and their cherry limeade. They have the GOOD crunchy ice, and free refills. (You'll need it as you wait and wait and wait.) The fries were good. I'd go back when they weren't so busy but don't make the mistake of using your lunch break for this.
I was very disappointed with a recent visit, the wait was long for my sandwich BUT Had the wait been worth it that's not a problem. The person was obviously new, No mayo on the bread completely dry, bread hard ,1 peice of tomato. Plenty of meat that was good, lots of banana peppers good.
The cost was way more than expected. But when it's done well you don't mind. No fresh baked desserts sad. Portion size still good.
