Best WLM Reviews

Had a wonderful experience the first day. Loved the Oysters Rockefeller (chargrilled and creole were good), BBQ Shrimp Po-Boy and the taste of New Orleans. Came back the next day, but the staff seemed a bit less prepared. Great food and atmosphere, so hopefully they can fix some of the service issues.
My experience here was great. First, the service. Jersey was awesome!! We presented with a party of 20 people. You would not have known. He was extremely attentive and entertaining. The food was awesome. This is the first restaurant, in a while, that I have enjoyed the food and did not send it back (I am a very picky eater). I ordered the shrimp and grits and ate some of a friend’s alligator bites.. We enjoyed everything about this place!
My family and I stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night and the place was already pretty busy. However, they were able to sit us (a party of 5) immediately. I really enjoyed the vibe of this place. From the minimal decor and giant tree, to the live music that was playing while we enjoyed dinner. I had the blackened fish with mixed vegetables and it was so so good!! I would’ve come back here every night for it if were up to me. My husband had a burger which he said was pretty plain and dry. We shared the taster of red beans and rice, gumbo, jambalaya and crawfish ettoufee and all were pretty tasty. Our table also had another burger which was pretty dry, seafood pasta which was great, and a poboy which was also good! I ordered a glass of wine when we arrived and it ended up never getting to me. The waiter was very kind and attentive and really gave us great service. I would definitely come back to this restaurant again and try some different dishes.
Amazing place, excellent raw oysters. Visited on a Wednesday night and they had very cool live music. I liked the bar vibe for sure. Very friendly staff. Shout out to Dwight, Rob and my server Kash for taking care of me and offering excellent service. Would love to come back on my next visit to NOLA.
Atmosphere- 5 stars- Really cool themed restaurant. Clean and smelled really good- sorta like the Pirates of Caribbean ride at Disney lol (if you’re a Disney fan you understand). Only criticism would be the hallway to the bathroom is very slippery so use caution.
Service- 5 stars- Staff was very friendly. Gilda was our waitress and she was very helpful and had a great personality!
Food- 5 stars- Wanted to have a taste of New Orleans cuisine so we shared the “Taste of the Bayou” which was a sampling of Creole Jambalaya, Crawfish Etouffee, Red Beans and Rice and Chicken/Andouille Gumbo” all of which were outstanding!!
Really good oysters that they cook in front of you at the bar, and the steamed crawfish tails also had a ton of flavor. Heard the grits were great also. Very quick and courteous service. Great drink selection and nice atmosphere with live music right on Canal Street next to the Astor Hotel.
The restaurant is quite dark on the inside, which is hard to see what you eat. And if you choose to sit outside, you are surrounded with the crowd walking or people smoking. We ordered some Jambalaya rice and fried shrimp. Food was okay but not restaurant quality. Prices were high. I think I would have prefered to spend this much money somewhere else.
Marc (Merk) our server was excellent! Ask for him! He made the night special with his customer service! Everything was good, from the drinks to the food. We ordered the Creole Oysters, cheesecake and a couple of other main entree items. Nothing disappointed us! Highly recommend!
