Beautiful and eerie scenery. There is shade on the early part of the trail but the rest is very exposed to the sun. Sharp traction on several small bridges are painful for doggie feet so beware!
The 3.25 mile trail is worth the hike.
Easy to find and has a restroom with clear signage of what trails are there, where those trails take you and about how long to give yourself for each of them.
Great ace to hike and see the blue rock.
The Island in Time trail was a great short hike! The fossil exhibits were educational and interesting. The geological features along the hike and particularly at the end were beautiful.
Fantastic scenery! Very colorful geology. Peaceful, nice picnic table shelter. Clean restrooms too. Good place to hike but I didn't have time today.
Extremely beautiful and extreme heat during the summer months - bring LOTS of water to stay hydrated, sunscreen protection, and if possible be there early in the morning before the hottest part of the day. Gorgeous hills of bluish aqua, and very memorable and unique.
A great starting point for the Blue Basin Overlook Trail. There are two pit toilets at the parking lot. There is very good signage. We did the full loop in 1.5 hours. 3 miles.
