I am trying to figure out how to post a picture of how the owner who makes all the food blessed me. For 12 bucks flat I got shrimp with mixed vegetables the shrimp are huge and so many really allot and fresh veggies and fried rice too . Taste great, great value and a sweet hard working woman and her family run this place. It's a great place will post Pic once I figure it out will post Pic where photos of the place are can't figure out how to attach here
My son found this place one day when we were looking for something different and decent to eat. Within the last two months, my son and I have eaten at Blessings Carryout more than a half a dozen times. I must say that I’m very picky about the food that I eat, but their food is delicious. It’s not far from John Hopkins hospital and right across the street from North East market place…
They have a great lunch special menu. Today I got orange chicken with lo mein noodles, and shrimp egg foo yong with fried rice. My son and I shared both dishes and it was delicious as always. All for just $16.50.
EDIT (12/1/23): I just came back a year later to say the food is still good.
My go to place for Chinese/American. The food is good, reasonably priced, great service and the location is always clean. It is a family owned business, and I’m always treated with respect. I absolutely love the half and half, fried wings, fried rice, sesame chicken, chicken cheesesteak, shrimp and broccoli, chicken and broccoli and egg foo yung. Any modifications I ask for, they always make it happen.
I tried this place twice. The first time I went, I ordered pork fried rice, four fried chicken wings (but actually received five), a cheesesteak eggroll, and a half & half drink. I thought the fried rice had a nice flavor but found the rice to be mushy. The wings were small but tasted decent, the eggroll and drink were also decent.
The second time I went, I ordered the bbq rib tips, a 6" cheesesteak, and regular fries. The cheesesteak had a good flavor but the bun was not toasted and there was not a lot of filing. The fries were not that good but edible, and the rib tips had a lot of inedible pieces. The menu is not updated so I attached a picture of the prices they have in their store.
It's become a favorite spot for my Chinese cravings. Liked the Egg Fo Young but loved the Pork Lo Mein. It's in a great area near the Northeast Market and streets with string lights hanging from porches to trees along the sidewalks The whole area is underrated. I felt safe and with all the mom-and-pop shops around, you can find just about anything.
I wanted sum Shrimp Fried Rice so my Son went and got me a tray of Shrimp Fried Rice AND baybee it was GOOD. ???? WAY better than wut we've been getting and the BEST part my Fried rice had Bean Sprouts in it. I can't find any other Asian Carryouts that put Bean Sprouts in their dishes (I LOVE Bean Sprouts) ???? I'm going to try other items on the Menu.
Oh my goodness the food is really good. I am very selective on which Chinese places I eat from but there chicken, rice and fries are really good. And the shrimp egg rolls are so good.
Had lunch special Curry Shrimp with fried rice. Great meal. Will definitely go again.
