Best WLM Reviews
Drove by on our way into town to our hotel. Noticed the mural outside and then the décor inside drew me in. Had brunch here on Saturday and I'm so happy that the hype didn't just come from the interior design. The food was SO GOOD!!! I had the crab cake benedict which was suggested by our bartender, Mary. As someone from the Eastern Mid-Atlantic who has had a lot of crab cakes, I can honestly tell you that these were amazing! The seasoning and the overall manner in which these crab cakes were made makes me think the owner/chef came from the East Coast! My boyfriend had the brisket hash and he inhaled it so quickly that he didn't even save me a bite ???? Came here for brunch and decided not to do the bottomless drinks because you could only choose one drink the entire 1.5 hours. Makes sense but as a visitor who will not be coming back anytime soon, a little variety would be more appealing.
As previously stated, the restaurant is really cute inside. There's a free arcade on the second floor. The restaurant's got a girly, cowgirl feel to it. The menu has a lot of Southern favorites with a twist! Menu is available via QR code on the wooden coasters. Prices were cheap compared to the rest of the city. Portions were large but doable. Flavors were on point! And staff was especially welcoming and attentive! We sat at the bar, per usual.
They've only been open for a week but I definitely feel like their popularity will blow up soon! So glad that we caught them before they're too busy!!!
Went to brunch on a Sunday afternoon. Our Waitress JJ was amazing. I didn’t like my initial order and the manager Matthew swapped out my meal quickly no questions asked. Service was amazing and the unlimited mimosas were excellent! The restaurant was clean and the decor was super Insta-worthy! Will be back!
Excellent food, huge portions, reasonable prices, friendly and fast service! And this southerner found banging grits in the heart of Chicago! Highly recommend!
This place is so fun! We went for my mommas birthday and it’s great! The service and drinks are amazing!!!! We love the atmosphere!
Don’t miss it! We had the pulled pork they were out of Brisket but let me tell you 10/10! Drinks were good we were there on Friday night don’t remember our servers name but she was awesome! We came in from Florida and I told myself the last thing I wanted to do is go to a country themed bar\restaurant because we have plenty of those here but I am so glad we went and will definitely be back!
I was traveling out of town. As going to other destination we spotted this vibrant place. The outside was beautiful mural done. we had to check this place out.
A nice surprise that this spot was a brunch place and bottomless drinks!
We were seated and hosted by our server Amanda! She was super lovely. She gave the best service. She was such a great person to talk to.
The rest of the staff, the chefs, other servers, bartenders and kitchen staff were all nice as well and inviting.
I ordered the PB&J french Toast. So yummy! Then The side of eggs, my goodness so good.
The food is more of a southern menu.
The atmosphere and vibe of the spot. Super cool. I would say its more like a chic rustic cowboy. They had florals and cowboy boots dangling from the ceilings. They also had a upstairs portion were they had arcade games. So Check that out.
I think the only bad part or experience was the I assume the manager or owner? Talked to each and every table expect for our table. We were seated our whole time there. Seemed like he ignored us on purpose....
Nonetheless, this is a great brunch. I would be back for lunchtime- Dinner to see what they cook up.
We’ve gone to this place when it was the diver & enjoyed that experience. We went again today & the service & atmosphere was not the same. The server came up to us & said “hi, how can I help you” no introduction at all! I didn’t know I was at a drive thru. I asked about their brunch & he shot my question down by saying “it’s 330 brunch is over”. I was like ok! Is happy hour still happy happening from 3-7? He shot that down again & said nope. No alternatives or specials were mentioned. We were sat before 330 & we were patiently waiting for our server to attend us. There is nothing on the menu that specified what days for what specials. If your servers are going to be unwelcoming at least put the information in the menu so they’re not annoyed by our questions! Don’t waste your time at this place.
I rarely write bad reviews and I loved The Diver, however my fiancé and I went in there today and it was empty maybe 3 tables inside and 2 outside. We sat in there for over 15 minutes and not even a glass of water was offered to us. How much longer until we would have been served. We also waited to be seated it wasn’t like we just sat ourselves. Such a shame.
