I was told to come here as a first timer visiting New Mexico and I was not disappointed. Greasy, meaty, and carb heavy...what else could you ask for? Also the orange juice was very nice, wasn't your typical Minute Maid!
I've always wanted to try Blake's and finally was able to do so in my most recent visit to Santa Fe. I was not disappointed! The LOTTA Burger is now in my top 3 fast food burgers, perhaps even #1. All of the ingredients made me happy, especially the green chili. While there I saw they offer breakfast burritos, so the vet next morning I tried a sausage breakfast burrito with red chili. I'm now very sad I don't have a Blake's near me, this was a simple yet very delicious burrito, very filling and the chili rounds the burrito out perfectly. I would eat at Blake's frequently if I lived near one.
Place is ran like a well oiled machine. We ordered in a huge line thinking it would take forever. All 4 of our orders came out fast, hot, and correct. Will be back again. Sitting here now watching everyone do their jobs keeping it clean.
First time trying Lotaburgee. Would not have bat an eye if this was served to me in a nice sit down burger joint. Perfectly moist meat, quality bun. Green chili burger was huuuge ???? seasoned fries were hot and crispy.
Should be renamed to lotta-bun burger. I haven’t been to Blake’s in the last 4 months due to travel and I was looking forward to a good New Mexican green chile cheeseburger. The burger was okay, green chile not as spicy as it usually is. These all could be forgiven due to seasonal timing, but the giant bun really messed it up. I couldn’t taste anything but bun.
Very disappointed.
Burger was amazing. Reminded me of a diner style burger I loved it. The Blake's sauce was also very good. Definitely wish I had one of these chains where I live.
My wife and I winded up here after a long day's trip. We used to frequent this place many years ago. We have noticed that the hamburger size is just not quite the same as before. They must be using skinny cows now. The quality of the hamburger was good.
However I kept having to go back for condiments because they forgot to put them in our bags.
We come from Texas and we use to compare them to Wataburgers back home. Now that's not the case. They need to change the name from Lota Burger to Blake's burgers.
I would say that it's worth a try once at least. But I wouldn't go out of my way to get one.
Ordering by phone is HORRIBLE!!! If they mess up your order they refuse to correct it and it's impossible to get in touch with the location you ordered with. The phone numbers listed online for each individual location takes a caller to the ordering system which is what started the FAIL. When your order is almost $100 you would be upset too.
