The pull off to the parking area could use a little work. Sedans beware, that roadside has a pretty good drop in most areas. Nice little recreation area under the bridge, but trashed a bit. On one side of the bridge is the former bridge's metal framework spanning across the river. Neat place, people around us seemed friendly. We meet fishermen, and a couple of folks with dogs.
Great spot to fish when people aren't crashing it as a camp site. Close to the road & on the river makes it convenient. The no camping signs always disappear and it's just not big enough. Unfortunately, folks typically leave it in a mess.

This is a well-known stocking spot and you can catch some fish here but expect them to be small and expect to have a lot of company because everyone knows about the spot. There are far more scenic areas with just as good fishing that might be worth your time to find them instead.
Wish y'all would stop leaving your garbage at every single fishing spot but I guess that's too much to ask for. I'll do a clean up next time I'm over there. Leave. No. Trace.
I was told it was a place to fish but I found a tent (Was someone living there? ) I decided to try somewere else I didn't want to walk up on someone in such a isolated area you never know these days
One of our favorite places in Mtn. Rest. We love camping, hiking and fishing here!!
