Blackwall Hitch was a great choice for our dinner ! It’s on the water front making it a fun experience for sure. They have a large menu with lots of choices for all tastes. It’s a pretty restaurant with wonderful service!! Our Server was fantastic!!! Their iced tea was delicious!!! She kept it refilled for me. We tried their house salad ???? to start. So very good with lots of fresh vegetables. For dinner entrees, we tried the Shrimp & ???? Grits, Burger ???? & ???? fries, then Rock fish stuffed with ???? crab & rice condiment. Each were delicious. For dessert, we tried the Key Lime Pie ???? & super Chocolate cheesecake with fruit. Both was delicious! Perfect finishing taste! If you get an opportunity, go try Blackwall Hitch. Super delicious!!
Awesome vibe and decor. Beautiful waterfront views with a nautical theme indoors. Multi level with 2 bars and plenty of seating. Reservations are recommended but we didn’t have an issue getting a nice table by the window for 2 at 5pm on a rainy Saturday. Cocktail menu was awesome and the flaming crab dip was probably the best crab dip I’ve ever had. The entrees were good but the lemon chicken linguini could’ve used a bit more flavor. Service was quick and attentive, very friendly as well (I think Rashida was our server and she was fantastic). Overall very happy with our first visit here and will be back!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Blackwall Hitch restaurant and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. The combination of phenomenal customer service, delectable food, and breathtaking views made this dining experience truly unforgettable.
From the moment we arrived, Danielle G, our server, impressed us with her remarkable speed of service and extensive knowledge of the menu. Her recommendations, particularly the Shrimp & Scallop Ceviche and Shrimp & Scallop Risotto, were absolute winners. The flavors were fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced, showcasing the culinary expertise of the restaurant's chefs.
To follow, we indulged in the Braised Short Rib and Filet Mignon, both of which were cooked to perfection. The tender and succulent meats melted in our mouths, leaving us craving for more. The combination of the exquisite food and the picturesque view of the Potomac river on a sunny spring day created a truly magical ambiance.
As for the drinks, we were delighted by the creative cocktail menu. The Tequila Old Fashion, Tito's with a drop of cranberry, and Habanero Passion were all expertly crafted and complemented our meal perfectly. The flavors were unique and refreshing, showcasing the mixologists' talent.
Throughout our meal, the on-duty manager checked on our table numerous times, ensuring that our experience was nothing short of exceptional. Danielle G, our server, deserves special recognition for her attentiveness. She expertly refreshed our drinks in sync with our cadence, demonstrating an extraordinary level of service.
It's worth noting that the popularity of this restaurant became evident as it filled up quickly with patrons seeking the same remarkable dining experience. I highly recommend making reservations to secure a table, as the location and ambiance make it the go-to place for any occasion.
the Titan Group once again hits a grand slam home run with this location, just as they do with all of their establishments. Food was great. Our server provided us with great recommendations and all of which were awesome. We sat outside 5/11/24 around 12:30 and very much enjoyed it. Definitely a good place for larger parties & very family friendly. Wish I could remember our servers name but he was awesome & very friendly/with good recommendations. Would definitely go back.
This restaurant was a great treat for our family! We chose this restaurant for the last night of our stay to splurge a little.
The small disappointment was at the beginning of our night. When we were taken to our table, there was a dirty diaper on it. This was obviously not the fault of the restaurant and I’m pretty sure had been placed there by the family at the next table. However, when I tried to explain to one of the nearby servers what had happened, they were too busy arguing about their sections and eventually just walked away from me without asking what was wrong.
Someone else came along and asked what was wrong and when I explained to her she said “so do you want me to clean the table?” like she was confused.
My family this entire time is left awkwardly standing in the middle of the dining room.
While the table is being cleaned off, another server came along, noticed us, found out what was wrong, and immediately jumped to fixing the situation by seating us at another table.
It was a rocky start, but troubles ended there.
Our server did a wonderful job, was very friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu.
The food was exceptional! We had calamari and crab dip for starters. We ordered the filet, short rib pasta, salmon and kale salad, and stuffed rockfish for dinner. I wish we had had room for dessert, because I’m sure it was delicious too!
I went in to order take out. Been wanting to try their food as a tourist. The first person I approached looked like he didn’t even want to help me, immediately pointed to the bar tender. Took about 10 minutes to place my order, had to ask again to place my order since it looked like they forgot I was sitting right in front of them. When I finally got my order I didn’t check to see if everything looked in order, I rushed out because I didn’t want to miss the water taxi. It wasn’t until I was on the taxi that I felt a really hot sensation on my thigh from the bag. It turns out the crab dip was partially opened and leaking! When I got back to the hotel, I opened up the pasta and it looked so skimped! Like they threw left overs in the container. I tasted it and it has absolutely no taste at all! The sauce wasn’t even sauce it was water consistency. Paid $50 plus tip for the whole order. I’ll definitely be contacting my bank to dispute this charge. Ridiculous!

Dear Management,
I hope this posting finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment with the recent dining experience I had at Blackwall Hitch on Mother’s Day. As a regular patron of your establishment, it pains me to recount this experience!
Upon arriving with my party of eight, including a toddler, we were looking forward to a leisurely dining experience. However, our expectations were quickly dashed when the wait staff seemed to rush us. Despite not taking our drink order until 12:50, we were informed at 1:45, less than an hour later, that we would need to vacate our table.
This abrupt request to leave left a sour taste in our mouths, figuratively and literally. It was the first time I have ever felt unwelcome and rushed out of a restaurant, especially one I frequent as often as Blackwall Hitch. The manager's explanation that another party was waiting for our table at 2:00pm was both surprising and disheartening.
In my opinion, no restaurant should schedule reservations so closely together that it compromises the dining experience of its guests. We were not afforded our full “90 minutes” without being interrupted and being requested to leave. In addition, the restaurant had the other family who was waiting to sit at a temporary table behind us as a form of intimidation to get us to depart the restaurant.
As someone who has always spoken highly of Blackwall Hitch, I sincerely hope that this was an isolated incident and not indicative of a larger trend in customer service.
I appreciate your attention to this matter and hope that steps will be taken to ensure that future patrons do not encounter similar frustrations.
A very cool and fun bar/restaurant. We sat in the bar and enjoyed their happy hour. Drinks were very good. Our waiter was very attentive and entertaining! Stayed for music which was very good!
