Came for dinner after checking out the Black Lives Matter Plaza. Food was good. I was very impressed with the shrimp and crab dip. Just wish they gave us more! lol. The crab cake did not disappoint either. Although we could have used more dipping sauce. And the sweet potato casserole was delish.
Staff were super friendly and welcoming. The place was busy when we arrived but it was dinner time and happy hour so I could see why. But we had no problem getting a table.
A good sports bar for the area if you are at a hotel and want some place plastered with wall to wall TVs. Food was good, a little bit pricey for the the type but it's more of a tourist trap for downtown. Fried cheese curds could have been crispier. Cocktails were okay for a sports bar. The iron skillet cookie was not fresh. Overall everything was tasty, outside of a downtown it just wouldn't be worth the price.
The food was really good! I had Ying Yang Shrimp ???????? appetizers and my date had a roasted salmon ???????? salad. We added in some well-seasoned French fries on the side as our guilty pleasure! lol ????
This is the “official” Ohio State Backers Bar, so if you’re a fan and in town during season be sure to stop in for a game.
The food wasn’t too bad. It’s an Irish pub.
Could be a good place to stop in after work for drinks or if in the area. Not a bad vibe.
I’m writing from my very 1st visit to Blackfinn DC on Super Bowl Sunday!! My father is a very big Kansas City Chiefs fan so we knew this was the place to be today & they did not disappoint! Aaron who was tending the front bar was very pleasant while we waited for a table. When we got a table, our waitress Lucy was very attentive to us…even with all the KC fans in attendance. The atmosphere is warm & exciting. I’m very much looking forward to my next visit.
This is a great casual restaurant right in the heart of Washington DC. We were looking for a relaxed atmosphere with some variety to the menu. Blackfinn DC did not disappoint. It is a typical restaurant and bar atmosphere and the noise level will increase with an increase in patrons. The entire staff was friendly and the service was relatively quick. The prices seemed very reasonable for this style of restaurant in the DC metro area. The Garlic Parmesan Pretzels as an appetizer were quite good. I am not normally a fan of mustard, however, their mustard cheese sauce paired extremely well with the pretzels. I appreciated that the sauce was served on the side. I can’t say enough about the Shrimp and Garlic Linguine as a main course. Not too overpowering for a pasta dish. Very flavorful and well proportioned. They did not skimp on the shrimp. There was plenty of shrimp to last until the final bite. Blackfinn DC made such an impact on us, we came back for a second night.
We are here our first night in DC. Awesome food and great staff. It was so good we decided to have our “last supper” here too. Staff was awesome! Food was amazing! Portions are huge!! Close to our hotel. The Tuna sandwhich was awesome!!
Serving Food on Sunday. Went to watch football. The food and service were excellent. The Fried Deviled Eggs were amazing.
