Best WLM Reviews

Chris and Craig are great! We've stayed with them a couple times and they have been very accommodating. They even had a shirt we had forgotten washed, folded, and sitting on the bed for us the second time we came. The rooms are very comfortable and access to a full kitchen is very convenient. If you are there a night the restaurant is open, the food is excellent and an incredible value for the price. Finally, they are very pet friendly -- they provided a dog bed and trimmed leftover prime rib from the restaurant!
Very nice place. Booked it for an overnight stay for a ski trip to Kirkwood ski resort. The owners are very nice people based on a couple of times I interacted with them. The room I stayed in was clean and had everything I needed. I didn't use the common area but it was well kept. This will be my new go to place.
My girlfriend and I checked into the black station in Friday afternoon and was surprised how nice it was the caretakers were very friendly and helpful
The room and private bath was very clean the tub was like heaven extra wide extra deep
The back deck and barbecue with a gray area to cook our meal and enjoy our food. Very comfortable king size bed plenty of board games to entertain p and we both will enjoy another stay soon
Thank you so much for your hospitality
I had a very relaxing stay at Black Station Inn. The owners are very friendly and easy going. I will definitely be staying there again. It definitely is a cabin shared kitchen, living space but separate rooms and bathrooms.
Had another exquisite dinner at Black Station Inn. Craig and Chris consistently produce excellent food, great value, and a warm atmosphere.
On this occasion, we had an eclectic mix of Thai chicken and shrimp spring roll appetizer with savory dipping sauce, arugula salad, porterhouse rolls, apple butternut squash soup with cilantro (sounds like an odd combo, but it really works), filet mignon au poivre on as bed of creamed spinach topped with grilled prawns on , glazed dijon baby carrots, and Hasselbeck potatoes, and dark chocolate mousse cake with edible gold stars.
Definitely one of the best meals I've ever had!
They also have Round the World Wednesday's with a set menu at a great price. The place is small, so reserve your spot early! Food is also available to go.
Notes:
They keep their prices low by having guests make their reservations and order in advance.
They're only open for dinner Wednesday through Saturday.
I was a cyclist who stayed at Black Station in July. Craig and Chris both were SO WONDERFUL.
Craig began by telling me, when I made my reservation, that he'd make dinner on a Tuesday. Wow, I was so grateful for that. Then, Craig called me the day I was coming to let me know that he and Chris were going to get in some fishing but was sure they'd be back before I got there (and they were). Then Chris came out to greet me with a huge glass of ice water. Nothing could have been better after a long day of cycling in the heat. Except maybe Craig's perfectly cooked salmon -- YUM!
I slept like a log, the deck was terrific place to relax, eat, have a glass of wine. The little communal kitchen was ideal to keep my snacks cold for the next day. I couldn't have asked for anything more.
Absolutely fantastic experience. Very personalized service, Chris and Craig take such good care of their customers and really go the extra mile to ensure your meal is as good as it can be.
I strongly recommend the house specials, theres nowhere else you can get a meal this hearty, satisfying and fulfilling for anywhere close to the same price. The Filet was cooked to perfection and amazingly seasoned, you can build your own baked potato, the side dishes are fantastic and they make their own house special soup. Craig is an exceptional cook with many creative ideas, and you would not think to find this in such a small venue...but here he is!
A group of my friends and I stayed over new years. There are 4 rooms, each with their own bathrooms, and also a bed in each room (with one of the rooms having a bunk-bed). I did not take part in the check-in process, but I'd assume it went smoothly. The place is charming but has a very small kitchen and very basic cookware. If you plan to cook here I recommend bringing your own things. The place is super comfy and easy to spot from the side of the freeway. Great for getaways with family or friends!
