I won't be back. Very poor experience.
We called to get on the list the day before. It was a 20-minute wait for the table. The menu was dirty. The on-tap beer menu was missing. After 20 minutes, our server took our drink order. In 15 minutes, he showed back up, and my beer was not cold. He took our order. 25 minutes, he delivered the soup, which was not hot.
About 35 minutes later, someone else delivered our main meal. This was the part I was excited about being my first visit to a Black Rock. Disappointment arrived again. My sweet potato was cold. The soft butter did not even melt.
The steak was actually very good. The butter blend and dipping sauce enhanced the flavor. Here I had no complaints. Although, I would have enjoyed another beer or more water to help clear my taste buds between bits of the steak. We were never given a chance to reorder drinks.
After we were done, the server asked me how everything was. My father advised him that the food was cold and I told him I would not visit again.
Hint to all servers. Don't ask if they want to speak with the manager. Just go get the manager and inform them you have guests who were not happy.
The steak was great, but everything else was far below standards.
Be very careful the floors are slicker than a gym shower room floor. This is difficult. The concept and experience are very fun and exciting. However, it is overshadowed by slow service and an even slower kitchen. I'm not sure if it's a lack of stones per customer capacity or what, but 2.5 hours is unacceptable for serving primarily raw food. The meat was a quality meat and was very tender with the table cooking. Really wanted to order a dessert to celebrate my birthday but didn't want to wait any longer.
Absolutely delicious. I got a New York Strip and used the volcanic stone to cook it myself. High quality meat cooked to perfection every time. Never a cold bite. The herb butter they gave was delicious and there was even a dipping sauce with great flavor. The sides were tasty and added to the meal.
My friend got the blacked salmon and was thoroughly impressed as well. There was also a good selection of beer and an extensive drink menu. Would highly recommend trying Black Rock Bar & Grill
Our servers name was Raenah, she was delightful and explained everything on the menu that we had questions about. Top server! We ordered several different items and thought they were all delicious! We can't wait till we go back again and it may be in just one week we would highly recommend this restaurant for the ambience, the incredible meals and great service !
Great food, with a unique method of cooking with the rocks. Comparable prices for a restaurant like this. We've gone a couple times now. The staff attentiveness has been hit or miss. The staff could do better with making customers feel more welcome but otherwise no complaints.
Very unique experience! Grill your own meat at the table on a hot stone. The steak is to die for and I only got the sirloin! Prices are extremely reasonable and staff is super attentive. Will 100% be coming back again.
Great atmosphere ???????? Awesome experience cooking your food on a 755° rock. The service was good. The food was great. I only wished the brownie with ice cream would have been warm. We will definitely be going back ✌????????????
We had our Company Christmas party here and we were in the back glass room off the main dining area and it was Super loud in there. The glass does not buffer conversations at all. The food was good I had Blackened Salmon and rice. The ones who got steak had gigantic portions. And we got dessert to go and the brownie I got was big enough for four people.
