This place is friendly and accommodating. It was our first time visiting a Black Rock Bar & Grill. The waitress explained everything very well. I have a gluten sensitivity and a dairy allergy. They were very accommodating and cooked my green beans in oil instead of butter. My husband ordered a full slab of ribs and I ordered the 25 oz sirloin steak, which was very tender, and shared. The ribs had great flavor. We can’t wait to go back!
My Aunties and I visited Detroit recently and my cousin suggest we go to Black Rock Bar & Grill. We enjoyed the atmosphere and service. The food was awesome. I actually got to cook my steak on a 750 degree volcanic Rock from Australia. Hopefully they will come to Houston.
Myself and my daughter enjoyed cooking some very nice steaks! We went during lunchtime although the menu is the same for dinner, the atmosphere was quiet, service was quick and food was fresh! Very enjoyable time.
The restaurant was not busy, but we had to wait 1 hr just to have to cook our own steak. The stone did not appear to be 755° as advertised. I was not impressed. Veggies we sub par as well. Appetizers were very good although.
First timer. Can't wait to return :) Parking was convenient. Welcomed right away. No wait. Waiter, Michael was the absolute BEST! Clam chowder has been one of the best we've had. Lobster dip with toasted pita, delicious. Salad was fresh. Michael brought our order, explained how to cook our steaks and the dip for it. He took the time to make sure our experience was excellent. The Volcano dessert was perfect for the three of us to share. Never had to ask for refills. Michael made us feel like we were the only diners in the restaurant.
We stopped in tonight ( Friday at about 8:30 pm ) after a long absence from Black Rock 2022 to be exact. We had Kosta as our server. Very nice guy. Pickles were hot and good. Steaks are always good. Salads were large and tasty. No complaints here at all.
Never tried the ribs. So tonight I got the add on half slab. Those are really good.
Everything was very good. We enjoyed !

- The steak was thin and under seasoned. Way to small for $30+
- Asparagus side came out with only 4 small stocks >_>
+side dishes were on point for the spinach dip
+staff was excellent, Amira was very pleasant.
+Restaurant had a nice atmosphere.
