What a surprise!! This roadside stop was done on a whim. We had never had Cracklins or boudin. The boudin was ok, but the Cracklins were amazing!! It was a fun stop for local cuisine to take on the road.
Always so friendly , pepper jack boudin balls are the best I've ever had, the panko type breading tastes so much better than the ones fried in flour. Best cracklins too.
Wont ever go back again!!! Crackin way over cooked. Spent 28 dollars n throw it out the window. Can't even eat it. Worst I've ever had. Boudin not good either. 18 bucks gone to..
Real good boudin, not too greasy. Chicken cracklins were meaty. Simple little no nonsense spot.
I definitely will want to break this down... I love the pepper jack boudin balls...best I have had so far...and I recently tried the crab and shrimp gumbo and it was amazing!!!!
They would've gotten 5 stars if it wasn't for my encounter with the older lady that works at the register some months back....I would go there almost every day for the pepperjack boudin balls, the egg rolls...etc..but one day I got 2 pepperjack boudin egg rolls and apparrently they had been sitting in the hot box too long and the inside was hard.. so I called and told the older lady(I'm assuming she's the owner) and she was very rude to me..told me there was no way they weren't good and that she couldn't give replacement or a refund at all. I was very disappointed because I was an almost every day customer and I expected better customer service..I stopped going in there for awhile. I only recently started again because as I said , I love the pepperjack boudin balls and I missed them..I just know where I stand as a customer if something happens to not be fresh...
I go here alot the chicken crackling is amazing and the pepper jack egg rolls/balls are great don't forget the sauce ????

Just bought 1/2 lb. Of cracklin's for $16.??. They were delicious.
But over priced in my opinion.
A tiny hidden gem with humongous tasty cajun treats in Patterson,La.
Cracklings are cooked fresh with just the right amount of magical cajun dust.....
Lots of frozen homemade treats to take home ,just bring a cooler...
