Came here for a thanksgiving lunch. the staff was able to seat us quickly and were very nice throughout our dining. Food was very good and the price was very reasonable for the large portion we received. Overall a great experience. I would be happy to return here given the chance.
Looked forward to Chicken Fried chicken w/Jalapeño gravy. They were out of Blue Moon. The server was a little short (not friendly social). Food was good, gravy was not as tasty. Overall prices were high and being out of Blue Moon well that is unacceptable. May be a long while before we return.
Good afternoon, I came here for lunch on July 3rd. The food was very good and plentiful. I had Fried green tomatoes and pot roast with Ice tea. Great service and atmosphere. The staff were readily available and the seating arrangement was comfortable.
I don't get the luxury of EVER getting invited to lunch. Cracker Barrel was busy so my friend and I decided to go to Black Eyed Pea in Westminster. I have never heard of one in my life and I was excited. Country fried steak sounded so tasty and gave off a home vibe. Comfort food! Feeling down ITS exactly what I needed. SO I ordered the country fried steak.... It was so awful!!!! You could taste the very old cooking oil in every bite I took. My friend and my plates were $40 just for 2 people. I allowed him to think I was happy and let him pay a $40 bill. I should have stressed how bad the food tasted and asked for a new plate or just leave immediately. That would have been better than to watch a person waste their money
Mom loves this place and she's VERY picky -always great service by staff and is a nice spot for reasonably priced comfort food. Weekly specials are delish and we always get the fried green tomatoes!
Ate Friday fish special... fried cod. Fish was lightly seasoned and lightly breaded, not at all oily. Cooked to light flake. Sides were fresh but under seasoned toy taste. Service was very fast and courteous, as well as patient with my 90+ mother.
Senior portion is more than ample, Parking close and easy to access, a plus in Denver winter. Will go again.
I got the buffalo wrap which was very good, spicy and crunchy. They give you a lot of fries and a honey for the table. My server was Stella who was very friendly. The spot itself is warmly lit, clean, with a lot of ivy on display. There’s a positive confluence and kind communication between the employees which in 2023 says a whole lot about it more likely having good management. This isn’t always noticeable but I was directly next to the kitchen.
Great food, great atmosphere. Chicken fried steak was amazing, chicken finger were delicious. Lexi was great!! We will be back for sure
