Great stop in the Departing terminal at Bradley international. Located to the left as soon as you pass through security, Black Bear Saloon is a great place to have a drink, watch some sports and wait for your flight to board. Known for great beers and amazing wings, they’ve got a menu with plenty of options. You seat yourself at any open tables in the venue and are greeted by staff promptly. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. Wings are definitely a must, also their poke bowl is solid as well.
I have been to this restaurant at Bradley many times and I’m done. The cost is a rip off and the food isn’t mind blowing- just standard pub food. They charge $6 for a gluten free bun when most of us cannot choose whether we eat gluten, and one burger is in the mid 20 dollar range. For two burgers (that were pretty charred), fries, sweet potato fries, hard cider, and a beer it was over $100 with tip. Sides are insanely priced too. They charge these absurd prices because there’s few restaurant options, so why not take advantage of it? It’s greedy and I’m frustrated at stuff like this happening in America. I will no longer go to this place, and instead go to Philip’s Seafood, where I discovered a salmon dinner costs less than a burger at Black Bear saloon. The only good thing is the staff- they’re always friendly.
Great food and cozy enough to pass time while you wait for a flight. Ordered the bacon burger with a side Caesar salad — it was delicious! Only complaint is that I ordered my burger medium well and it was delivered well done with a bit more char than I would have preferred, giving it a bitter taste. The service was great, our server was attentive enough, friendly, and prompt. I’d recommend and return.
Service was great! Good drinks and I know this is an airport so there's like a natural uptick in prices but these are ridiculous! It's portion size v price and it doesn't match. But service was perfect. Shauna was amazing!
No, wait. The salmon wasn't bad. Stopped while waiting for my flight back home. Tables available, you seat yourself and scan the code on the table to see the menu. Nice restaurant and bar setting.
Had the most delicious grilled chicken, guacamole, tomato sandwich. Absolutely delicious! Tons of beer on tap as well. Great place to stop before a flight!
Wile waiting at Bradley Airport, I ordered the grilled salmon, served with vegetables and white rice. Vegetables were brussel sprouts only and loaded with oil and salmon was overly charred. I kindly asked if there's any substitution for the brussel sprouts, I got a side order of caesar salad to compensate.
However, the waitress Jackie/Jacquelin was very aloof and I will try to reserve any dogmatism for the term "racist" behavior. I sat there, completed my meal with dish to the side waiting. She attended to the 2 tables before me, to my left and behind me, asking everyone else, if they wanted refills, how was their meal and if there's anything else she may help with. Then she nonchalantly walked passed my table, I sat there for 10 minutes, then she came with my bill and asked if I needed a doggie bag.
Really? Would not recommend!!
Great place to get good beer and food. Fantastic Beer selection on tap. Lobster slider was absolutely delicious. The fries were well cooked. The calamari was good. Outstanding airport food. Service was friendly and prompt. Glad we dropped in.
