I was passing through the city, I looked for an option for dinner and I thought it was a good option. The place is very nice, I found the menu interesting and the menu very original. I really like the steak so it was my option to choose only that the cooking of it was not the one I ordered, they should be attentive to that point since the client requires it for some reason to their liking. But the waiter’s attention, Mr. Alfredo, I fix the situation with my steak with his professional and friendly attention. In general, it is a good place to eat and I recommend it.

Enjoyed Mother's Day dinner with my son here at the Blackbear and it was very nice. Being a Sunday it was not crowded and the food was great. Server was very friendly and outgoing even though I heard her have to explain to a few people at other tables that a few selections were sold out.
Came in on Mother’s Day, my potatoes were not cooked they however they did offer to replace them. Next up was my eggs, which still had slimy eggs whites, I informed staff and they fixed it. With what we tipped and paid for the meal and service and the trouble we went thru to get the meal correctly made, the meal could have been comped
The food is contaminated from the cooks dropping the containers and utensils and picking them up off the dirty floor to use them, the servers sit at the bar and play on their phones or talk, management cannot communicate at all with employees, and the food is usually undercooked. They like to play games with employees and force them to work on holidays instead of spending time with their families, they also withhold employee paychecks and the manager said "it's not my job to give you your paycheck" when it most certainly is his job. I would avoid eating here at all costs.
Just got a to go meal. 3 taco salads. Serving sizes were huge. They were fantastic! We could not finish them. The gal that helped me was great! Very friendly and smiling. Even though she was literally running to help everyone. I wish I would have got her name. I will definitely be getting lunch again, soon!
Fish was over cooked. Waitress was average but could have been a little better. We felt rushed. CFS was delicious and food was served up quickly. We were seated next to a large noisy group so it was hard for us to talk.
The food is four star. Everything else brings it down. The menu is basic comfort diner food, but it does taste better and has a fuller flavor than other chains. The portions are overly generous; who eats that much? The milkshakes are milk, big negative. The biggest detractor is the service. Nobody even noticed us waiting to be seated because the checkout line was ridiculously long and everybody was jammed at the entry. The waitress barely understood English and kept not understanding our order. In general, the kitchen being exposed let you hear all the stressed waitresses and cooks complaining.
