Best WLM Reviews
I don’t know if my most recent experience was a one off or if the food has gone down hill. The staff was wonderful and helpful though. My husband enjoyed his food. I ordered the avocado toast which was good but the toast was unevenly toasted (burnt on top and soft on the lower half), the eggs had no flavor and the hash browns were undercooked.
I ordered the huckleberry drink which was delicious
Not a great experience. Last Saturday Jan.6 we took my wife’s mom out to lunch. She’s 91, uses a cane & just needs extra care when she is outside.
We arrived at the Black Bear around 12;30 pm & immediately noticed the front walkway was covered in ice.we helped my Mil to the door & got inside.
We were seated quickly & I asked to speak to the manager. After 5 minutes a gentleman named Brandon came to the table & I asked if he was the manager. He said sometimes. I explained to him about the ice outside & he said it would be addressed.
Our order was taken & our food came out about 10-15 minutes later. Food was good but barely warm. By this time we were all pretty hungry so we didn’t complain.
We finished our lunch & went & paid for the lunch.
Upon leaving the front walkway was still covered in ice with no signs of any ice melt being put down. A very dangerous situation for anyone walking to or from the restaurant.
I have sent in two different comments to the restaurant @info@blackbeardiner.
No response, no body cares.
There r to many other restaurants available for us to ever go back here. If they don’t care, we will spend our hard earned money somewhere else.
Service was great as always, but I would have preferred the bread on the club to be a little more toasted and for the fries to have been a bit less seasoned. Still great tho but I fear that the dennys club clears
UPDATE 10/20: Revisited and got the BLT which I think is the better option here (better ratios and cheaper). Definitely a top tier choice.
Best comfort food. Ever! ALL of the staff are friendly and accommodating. And the fact that there is never an abundance of noise, it is more enjoyable to eat.
Have to give a 'shout out' to Junior, the manager. He is genuinely happy and nice.
Don't "Paws". Just Go to Black Bear Diner

The food was good nothing out of the ordinary to make it great, but the service that Sara gave was immaculate! Her attention to detail was superb, she was constantly checking to see if drinks needed to be attended, she made sure we had all the condiments before we started eating all while having great energy. I know it’s a tough job to do but your customer service is something that your management should know and implement. I’ve been here numerous times and have never had customer service like today my family and I thank you for making it an awesome experience!
Updating my review after a very bad experience today. My ham steak was full of gristle and was <> I only got 1 egg and my pancake was clearly sitting under the heat lamps while the rest of my order cooked: the plate was SCALDING and the pancake was crumbly and gross. Try the Black Bear out in Draper instead.
Comfort food! And healthy options that are tasty, too. I love to order omelettes here but today I had a Reuben. Service was kind and prompt. And there's even a lovely view.
The pancakes were a little undercooked so they were doughy in the middle and the lemons they brought out for the tea had gone bad. Not a reason to not go back. Overall the dining experience and food was really good.
