We went at 5PM on a Monday and were seated right away. The place definitely gets busy but the service was up to the task. They have a very large menu where the entrees are decently priced but the drinks and appetizers are pricey.
The wings were great and the Jambalaya spicy and good. Despite filling up we decided to try their special pizookie dessert item, vanilla ice cream on top of hot cinnamon buns. Definitely worth it.
We always enjoy our visits to BJ's. This time I ordered a personal pizza. It was...a bit small, even for a personal pizza. More like a child size. Still tasted great, though. Pizookie was good as usual and they never disappoint with their selections of craft beer.
We went for dinner with a group of colleagues, the place was crowded but service didn’t miss a thing. I heard very good comments from everyone on the table about their food and drinks, I got a house salad and the Cherry glazed Chipotle Salmon. The salmon with the cherry taste was delicious, a very well balanced flavor, I wouldn’t have minded if the cherry was even more prominent. The side of asparagus and rice was really good, particularly I don’t like spicy food and it was a little too spicy for me, but it was a great dish overall. I would definitely go back when I’m in town again
By far the worst pizza I have ever had. Its not real pizza crust, its bread, Im not kidding. There is no way they are using actual dough. Its some kind of pre made bread crust. On top of that the flavor of the sauce is putrid, its either jar or canned. Its not homemade sauce. The cheese was ok, but it was only on half of the pizza. The toppings were also ok, but they barely added any. The worst part is this is advertised as a DEEP DISH pizza. Its flat as can be! The only thing they have correct at this restaurant are the first two letters. We paid almost $30 for this....INSULTING.
Edit: I normally dont respond to the generic apology, but in this case its a must. Its not my job to check my order for accuracy and standards, its YOURS. Your manager should be doing this or delegate another employee to do so. Your response makes you look horrible. You just said that you dont have standards or an effective manager, and you need me to do this for them. It makes sense now why my order came out the way it did. You have no standards or leadership.
Highly disappointed again with their takeout service! I ordered a bundle that comes with 24 oz sides. The cups weren’t even halfway full! It’s looks like they put one scoop of rice pilaf in each cup and threw it in the bag. This was a complete waste of money.
Was at the Allentown restaurant on Saturday. Our server kept forgetting us.
No water when asked a few times. She spilled drinks on the table. We had to ask for napkins to wipe it up.
The food…my salad came with no dressing. I had to ask, for her to bring the wrong kind. And my steak, there was that much pepper on it, it masked the flavor. The cut was beautiful though.
The atmosphere was pretty cool.
Will I go back, eh maybe for another try.
We loved the food and ambience. The vegetarian pizza was absolutely scrumptious…better than in an actual pizza parlor with the freshest vegetables and luscious fluffy dough. Ask for no cheese if you have a dietary restriction for dairy. The mocktails were delightful and the steak was quite small but the chicken cesar salad was huge. The strawberry shortcake ice cream desert was a delicious and refreshing finale, but the very best part was the delightful and speedy service by our handsome, warm, and gracious waiter, the MVP of the year, Mr. Joey. He has a big wonderful brood of little ones, so don’t be shy with the gratuities now, y’all!
My wife and I are here for lunch today as we were exploring the area as a potential area to move to. The atmosphere was very laid back, casual, and fun. Food was pretty good. I have the chicken Alfredo which was great and my wife got the rib eye which was so-so, not as good as you would expect a $32 steak to be, but still tasty nonetheless. Service was good as well.
