Food is great. Service is excellent. Best coffee. The place is super clean. My favorite breakfast place for now on.. . And Sherri is the most friendly and attentive waitress we ever met.. I recommend 100%
My wife and I moved back downriver and she really want to come here since it was her and her grandmothers hang out spot long ago. We were sadly disappointed in the service. Only 4 people in the restaurant and our food was given to someone else, and when our food was given to us the toast was wrong. As far as food goes, it’s was alright. I got a corned beef omelette, the corned beef was odd, the egg had a lot of whites in it(just wasn’t mixed well). The Hash browns were well made.
Overall I hope the new management reads this, because this place could be as great as my wife says it used to be.
I came in here when the power was out in the area. Some of the staff called off so our waitress was indeed bizzy. But she did a terrific job for circumstances that she was under.
As for food, I ordered the quesadilla. It wasn't the greatest I've ever had, but it was quite filling.
I found it to be kind of amusing that there was random bee decor throughout the building.
Overall, this is a decent spot with decent food.
This place reopened with new ownership. It is 100% better than before. Nice staff. Saphire was my waitress and was both friendly and attentive. The food was perfect in both presentation and taste. (This was hit or miss under the last regime). Keep it up and the people will come!
Decided to give them a try since their reopen under new management. Food was not the best, but ok. The restaurant was clean. There was only one waitress, and it wasn't busy at all 4 tables, including mine. 1 of which was already there, when we walked in. Very inattentive, and forgot several items from our order. She never returned the table, so when I heard her chatting in the back with the cook, I went up to get my items. She then argued with me, telling me honey they're there. Walked to my table, saw they weren't, and walked away to get them. Never returned except to give us our check.
the cooks here need to be fired! Served me cold eggs not done all the way, cold hash browns, the biscuits and gravy there were 1 warm biscuit and the rest was cold. These mfers just be slapping food on the plates like here you go.
I moved on Oakdale st in 2010 and my ex-wife and our families ate there all the time.. Well after several times eating here again with the new owners it is absolutely delicious.

I used to go to the busy bee growing up and always enjoyed it and was so sad to see them closed down for awhile. I haven’t been for a VERY long time until recent (probably pre-covid) and let me just tell you the new owners who have taken over are doing excellent! Our waitress was great, service was quick, food amazing. By the looks of other reviews before the new owners came in things must have gone downhill but im here to tell you that is not the case anymore! Wether you’re a new customer or willing to give busy bee a second chance you won’t be disappointed!
