If I could give less then a star I would! I took my vehicle from carhop that broke down two weeks after I got it to bitterlings as they told me to only to have it to back and forth 4 times. The vehicle was overheating and I told them this Everytime but they never did the diagnosis on the transmission as I told them I have time dater images and yet each time they required a diagnostic fee for the same problem that they never tested for. Today I picked my jeep up yet again from there shop to make it 3 exits up less then 10 mins away I call them they not only lie about driving it because unknown to them I took a photo of the miles as well as wrote out the jeeps miles they never once took it for a test drive! The manager also told me.he took it for a test drive that was another lie especially after he told me they don't have time to drive it that long but yet I'm paying out over 135.00 an hour for diagnostic fees! But I got the jeep 3 exits away and had to immediately pull off the free way because the damn thing died the moment I did! I called them and was told that since it didn't happen on there lot it was my problem not there's and that I would have to have it towed back to there shop yet again! They don't test anything you tell them they don't do anything but feed you lies I don't think there mechanics are certified. I will be reporting all the images as well as the miles to the better bussiness bureau! They are scamming people along with carhop in Tacoma! Never once did they test the transmission they did the least amount of testing they could and asked for a diagnostic fee for the same exact problem every time! But yet never tested what I wanted them to I showed them exactly what was going on and yet they ignored me I took it to another mechanic and they where able to get the codes and diagnostic same day this place is a complete waste of your time and money! This will be reported to a lawyer as well as the better Business! I have enough evidence to proof they are not doing any working but making it look like they are so please do not go to them you'll just lose your money

This is my sons car he bought at Carhop in Tacoma. This picture was taken April 12 2024, on the I-5 Parkland off-ramp only 20 minutes from picking his car up from Bitterling’s Auto Repair in Tacoma. This car has broken down at least three or more times since he bought it February 24th, 2024. I have had to pick him up several times from Bitterling’s Auto Repair in Tacoma. Bad Service Shop-they told him there is nothing wrong with his car. My son had to replace the battery and buy tools to remove the old battery just to get it off the freeway off ramp before getting towed. While waiting in my car at Bitterling’s Auto Repair, I did notice other Carhop paper license plates in their shop area. Just take precautions while buying a used car.

Independently owned, honest, knowledgeable, fair pricing, good service. We've been going here a long time for anything that doesn't require the dealership. Recently we wanted to give a big job to Bitterlings instead of the dealership but the owner clearly explained why they couldn't match the price (dealer monopoly). I appreciate the honest response. .

You should never ever use this place. The entire thing is a scam. Carhops had me send my car here because of course it died on my way to work 6 days after I drove it off the lot. They called and said my car was ready it died again the next day after they claimed to fix it. Then told me they are not responsible for it because it had another problem they didn't want to fix. Then they Lady told me "remember" there is something else making it shut off I told her I didn't remember because I don't work there. She said yes remember we only replaced the fuse not the problem.....

I had a poor experience there. The previous owner was good, Mr. Bitterling,. The name is ruined. I brought in a Ford truck for a crank but no start. They kept it for 5 days and charged 5,5 hrs diagnostic. I don't believe this time. It runs horrible. Drove it about 5 miles and it stop. They are dishonest. Ricardo worked on my truck. He did not go logically to diagnose it. He replaced parts that were good. I will dispute the bill.

One of the worst experiences I’ve had at an auto shop. Came in for them to check my engine light, they said it was because of my distributor and converter leaking oil. So I had them replace the distributor for the price. Although they told it would take an hour and half, but they kept adding that on and it took a total of 5 hours of me just sitting there. That doesn’t even compare to the fact that they didn’t even let me know that I needed more required maintenance for my car to drive safely! Which is my timing belt, water pump and cam shaft…after going to another shop, they let me know this which sparked my annoyance for Bitterlings. Wouldn’t trust them again.

Took my Nissan in because the heater stopped working. Ricardo did an excellent job fixing it. Will definitely be bringing it back for future services.

Explained the process all the way through on my BMW with fair pricing. Good mechanics.
