I would drive near and far to use Bishop Radiator & Auto Repair for my car repair needs. The mechanic, Jose, goes above and beyond to support his customers, clearly communicates all aspects of the repair process, is flexible to work with, and even offered his time to help answer my questions after I picked up my car. I wholeheartedly trust him and the quality of his work. If you're in need of car repair anywhere on the 395, I strongly recommend towing/driving to Bishop to work with Jose; he's the best of the best.
Jose did a great job repairing my transmission cooling line. He also meet me on a Saturday for pickup which was super helpful. I highly recommend him if you need repairs in the area.
Awesome awesome awesome! We were on a trip hauling the trailer with our two small kids when we blew a radiator hose T fitting. Called a bunch of places who were too busy. Someone told me to call Jose. He found the problem, repaired it, and got us back on the road in less than two hours and it didn't cost us an arm and a leg. Definitely saved our trip from disaster. I wish he was my local mechanic!
Jose is a good man and a great mechanic. He helped me get back on the road quickly when I needed it the most after my radiator cracked. Can’t say enough good things, highly recommend his service!
Radiator cracked in my truck on 4th of July weekend. Bishop Radiator were the only company to answer the phone on a Sunday night. They replaced the radiator for a great price had me fixed and on the road my Monday 11am.
Jose is an expert at what he does and a super nice guy too! He saved the whole weekend for us by spotting and fixing the issue with the radiator. We were on our way into the mountains and would’ve had to cancel the whole thing without the quick repair this shop provided. Leave him a big tip because he deserves it.
The radiator of my 2005 Sienna started leaking after a tough uphill drive on Tioga Rd and it had to be completely replaced. I got the car towed from Lee Vining to Bishop and Jose fixed my car while I was back in the Bay. He called me and texted me to give me updates which I greatly appreciated. The car looked great when I went to go pick it up and he charged a very reasonable price. I was able to drive it back to the bay with no issues. Again, this place is awesome and if you ever need help with your car, Jose is your man!
We thank Jose very much for his help during our vacation over Memorial weekend when we were stuck with a radiator problem, that apparently also damaged the engine due to overheating.
On late Sunday afternoon, when everywhere else was closed, Jose took the time to inspect our towed vehicle and explained us that engine is damaged and we should not spend money fixing the radiator.
As we were under a lot of confusion and stress of being stranded, he stayed late at his shop for us, calmly explained to us the problem and arranged a friend to take us to our hotel and let our car sit on his parking lot until we figure things out.
