Classic american grub, with just enough options to make choosing a challenge, everything we've tried has been fantastic. The food is delicious, the staff is always friendly & welcoming. Relaxed atmosphere.
Mine and my boyfriends first time visiting Lewiston. We came across this place after doing some shopping. I have to say it was by far some of the best food and service I’ve ever had. Shirley was our waitress and I’ve never met a kinder woman. She always made sure to go above and beyond with her service. The food was fantastic definitely recommend the Mac n cheese with brisket!
I was introduced to this restaurant by a friend after I moved to Lewiston and we go there at least 1-2 times per week. The food is always served hot, delicious with generous portions. The prices of the meals are extremely well fitting for what you get.
I consider myself a little bit of a foodie and I definitely recommend Birchers!
They could definitely pep it up with new carpet and paint but very friendly fast service and the food was banging! Great little place for a quick bite to eat!

Had a patty melt the other day that was fantastic, can't wait to go back and try some other of their menu items. I've heard the taco salad is worth a stop, I'll be back soon.

This place was okay.
It has a small town, hole-in-the-wall, dinner vibe. Very cramped and lit by florescent lights. Although, there is some outdoor seating with some better views!
Our service was quick and friendly.
The menu is small town basic, with simple breakfasts, burgers, meat and potatoes, fried stuff.
The drink options were also very basic. Soda, water, and domestic beer.
Jessica got the philly sandwich (which came with au jus) and sweet potatoes fries. The philly was tasty! The meat was full of flavor and the peppers were fresh. But the fries were cold when we got our meals.
James tried their "home made" brisket with a side salad and fries. The brisket itself was okay. The meat was really tender, but it needed a lot of sauce for flavor. The fries were basic store bought crinkle cut with no salt or seasoning. They too were cold.
We had been hearing about this place and thought it was worth a shot and we were left disappointed.
The chicken fried steak was good but didn't have sausage gravy and the hashbrowns were really bland. No kids menu for breakfast and we asked for hot chocolate that wasn't on the menu. We had to order a 14 dollar meal for our kid that wasn't going to eat the hashbrowns. All he wanted was a waffle. We asked to just not have the hashbrowns with his meal but they put them on the plate anyways. Most restaurants have kids menus.
I got a couple of burgers to go. They were really good. Pleasant staff and a fair price too.
Definitely recommend.
