Best WLM Reviews
I came with a friend and we ordered 2 appetizers, the cauliflower fritters. And the beef carpaccio both were very good. I liked the cauliflower fritters better. But the red pepper sauce was very spicy to me.
I also ordered The Bison gnocchi and my friend ordered the lantern brick chicken. The chicken was super moist and The Bison was very flavorful and delicious. I would recommend that to anyone who goes here. I also tried my friends drink the strawberry social if I was a drinker that would be dangerous.
First class brunch service with great food. I ordered the Lamb Hash while my wife ordered the Benedict trio. The Lamb Hash was excellent, but so was The Trio. This will definitely make it hard choice for our next visit.
Outdoor seating was great, overlooking a park with a view of the St. Pete pier with the Bay in the background. There are plenty of shop around to walk off the calories from the delicious food you will consume. 10/10 would recommend!
I'd have to say this place was a good choice. We made a last minute decision and it did pay off. Service was good, food was good and your right on the water front. Personally the menu doesn't scream excitement but I couldn't complain.
????????????????????????: ???????????????????? & ???????????????? - ????????. ????????????????????????????????????????, ????????
I must stay. I’m really torn about this review. I have visited this restaurant for dinner several times and had a great experience, but this brunch doesn’t support my previous opinion. Overall, it had a great ambiance but was quite loud, and the food fell short in several areas. Let’s cut to the chase and talk about the food.

Creamy French Onion Soup: I should have known this would not be good from the name. However, I thought, how bad could it be? Stop messing with French Onion Soup! To begin with, the soup lacked the fundamental essence of caramelized onions. You couldn’t even taste the onion because they put so much heavy cream in the soup. The broth is a significant factor in how good a French onion soup is, and the chef’s decision to make it “creamy with cream” made it an epic fail! I mean look at the picture! The overall presentation was lackluster, contributing to the overall disappointment of the dining experience. The soup lacked the comforting and hearty qualities that make French onion soup a beloved classic. I know line cooks who could cook a better product.

Braised Short Rib Eggs Benedict: This was better. The braised short rib was melt-in-your-mouth tender and bursting with savory goodness. Nestled atop was a perfectly poached egg. The richness of the short rib elevated the dish to new heights, setting it apart from traditional eggs benedict. Caramelized onions added a sweet and savory dimension, complementing the robust flavor of the short rib. The bacon Choron provided a delightful smokiness, and the pepper jam introduced a subtle kick, creating a harmonious balance of sweet, savory, and spicy notes. However, every great dish can have issues. The potatoes were blah. While they were cooked well, there was absolutely no flavor. It was just plain potatoes. Hence the big bowl of ketchup. It was like the chef had to put something, so he just threw potatoes on the plate.

Burrata Apricot Salad with a side of Shrimp: This is why I wasn’t sure about my review. The salad was excellent. I’m going to make it at home. The star of this salad, the creamy Burrata, takes center stage, its velvety texture providing a luxurious foundation. Paired with the burst of sweetness from macerated apricots and the unique tartness of gooseberries, each bite is a harmonious blend of contrasting yet complementary flavors. The peppery watercress adds a refreshing crispness, while the toasted pepitas contribute a delightful crunch. Maldon salt and cracked black pepper elevate the taste profile, creating a perfect balance of savory and sweet. Topped with a white balsamic vinaigrette made this dish great from the second you took a bite and every bite after that. What was somewhat disappointing was the $14 shrimp add-on. I don’t get it, It was $14 for 4 shrimp, and they weren’t even that good. They were supposedly seasoned but not that well, and they were lukewarm, not hot.

One of my biggest frustrations with restaurants is how they cut down portions, charge you more money, and don’t live up to your expectations. I probably would come back to try their dinner again, as their dinners in the past have been good. But the brunch was a complete waste of time.
STOP MESSING WITH FRENCH ONION SOUP!
Our server, Jazz, was lovely. She made us feel welcome as 2 couples were celebrating anniversary dinners.
Even so, when you tell the server, you are a grain free and sugar-free eater, you do have to sometimes explain what that means, which is fine. But rice as a grain is a given. Our plates came back with rice as the base of the plate. So everything sat on top of it. The vegetables were a couple minutes short of being raw, which was too crunchy to enjoy the Brussels sprouts. The salmon was tasty but smaller than the palm of your hand. Therefore, it was rather disappointing since the vegetables were not enjoyable either. The steak was cooked medium rare to order. And that was very tasty but somewhat chewy and the same situation with the vegetables sitting on top of the rice that we could not eat. All in all, I think for the price point, we will not be back because of our specific requests, and you get minimal food due to that.
The Cafe con Leche was the highlight of our meal.
Went for brunch on Saturday for a friend's birthday. Restaurant is warm, inviting, and very modern. It was rather slow inside and so was the service. For such a nice restaurant I felt like the service just missed the mark. I ordered the chicken and waffle & had a rather small piece of chicken (plated nicely but again missed the mark for the price point). S/O ordered the lamb hash and he did love it. I took a picture of another person in our groups chicken and waffle & the lamb hash for reference. All in all, underwhelmed.
Spent $100 and left starving on valentines night.
Our dining last night was without a doubt the worst I’ve experienced. To say we were disappointed with the food would be an understatement.
I’m on a bit of a weight-loss journey so my boyfriend and I opted to split dishes starting with the Black Garlic Tea Soup. While I could definitely taste the garlic the flavors seemed to be competing with each other and left a really bad taste in the mouth. I passed it to my boyfriend, hoping he would like it but nope. Our server removed it from the table (after we said we were done) with two bites taken from it. He didn’t ask how the food was at any point, which leaves me to believe he probably already knew.
Next up was the Long Island Gnocchi ???? horrible, just horrible. Tried to push down a few bites, but I just couldn’t. Boyfriend choked down a few spoonfuls and pushed it to the side. At this point, we debated returning it and ordering something different but I had a feeling that if the two dishes we had were bad, the next one would probably be also.
I did ask for the manager to stop over, this is something I haven’t done in YEARS but this occasion warranted it. I explained our issues with the food and he said he would adjust the check. The check was brought back to us and the “adjustment” was a discount for $16. Not even the price of my cocktail. ???? So essentially for a few bites of food and three cocktails total, we paid $100. What an absolute scam.
At this point, I do want to point out that the cocktails were phenomenal (I’m a bartender myself) the bartender definitely knows what they’re doing. Greg our server was also very attentive and our bad experience is absolutely not a reflection on him. I’m only rating service low, because I feel the manager should have absolutely comped our food.
As locals to downtown Saint Pete, we love to patronage our favorite establishments, and contribute to our local economy. The only way I’d recommend this establishment is to cozy up to the bar and have a cocktail. Leave the dining to neighboring establishments.
Was debating between giving this place a 1 or 2 since the drinks were good and nicer service but the food on the other hand was eh. The bison gnocchi was super dry and both this and the New England gnocchi were cold when they served it, which also took 40+ minutes. It’s not worth coming here and they waisted my time since it took so long and by that time all other dine-in restaurants were about to close
