If I could give 100 stars I would. From the moment you pull up until you pull away. You are given excellent service, quality food, great conversation and so much more. The food is so good, the largest variety I have seen in a BBQ place. Just as tender as could be with the great smoke flavoring. Our group popped in after a long ride and could not have been happier with the food or service. I am not alone in saying, we will be back! Entire group was very impressed.
Billy and Bob are so nice! Good old hometown boys. They will also make you a sandwich is bigger than your head… But it's so good! All of the Amish goodies were incredible as well.
We came we saw we conquered, ribs fresh off the grill and the food was amazing hit the spot. Definitely will be back again for a pit spot any time in the area. Staff was very friendly and made our time exquisite! In Billy Bob I trust ????
My girlfriend had the brisket sandwich, sweet corn and BBQ beans. I had the brisket/pork sandwich with the same sides. I have to say, it completely caught us off guard how good it was. The meat was so tender and flavorful. You want a brisket with attention grabbing seasoned bark and they nailed it. The beans were top notch. Not too sweet, not too aggressively BBQ flavored...juuuust right on all fronts. The sweet corn was just like home. ????
The atmosphere is very laid back. Two gentlemen working the counter gave off that "back home" feel and were ripe for conversation. When I look for a "hole in the wall" BBQ spot, this is what I'm looking for. Plus they have other cool goodies available. All kinds of jams and other things you'd find at a general store. I think they even sold the wooden swing out front while we were there.
I learned Billy Bob's is actually quite popular as another couple who came in just before we did, came from North Carolina and had heard how good it was from someone who had done the Bourbon trail. I'll say this...if I lived in North Carolina I'd send people here too. It's just that good. ????
As a soldier that had been traveling all day and desperately wanted nothing more than some good food, Id give this 5 stars. The owners took very good care of me and the food was fantastic.
Excellent stop for food. Everything was delicious and the portions were great. The owners and cooks and workers were all extra friendly. The kind of place I like to find and such a good alternative to fast food.
The brisket and chicken sandwiches are really good! The green beans had lots of flavor with new potatoes as well! I definitely recommend ????
A delightful little place with the best bbq around. Ask for some fresh cut tomatoes from the garden too. The fried pies are to die for. Meet Billy and Bob and enjoy the trip.
