Best WLM Reviews
The Good:
The Buffalo boneless wings were flavorful, hot (temp), and large. This is a great value for the amount you get and how tasty they are. I did have to ask for more ranch, but I wasn't charged for additional ranch, so that's a plus. The server was very friendly and apologetic throughout my experience. It seemed she genuinely cared.
The Bad:
I spent nearly 2 1/2 hours in the restaurant, with more than half of that time waiting on food. The appetizer (wings) came out pretty quick, but I waited nearly an hour for my burger. When the burger came out, it came with regular fries when I was supposed to have sweet potato fries. This issue was corrected promptly. However, when the sweet potato fries came out, they were cold..... asked for another set of fries, and the second basket came out hot, resolving the issue. After eating, I ordered a milkshake, I believe it was the campfire (smores) one. It took nearly 20 minutes to be delivered, but the shake was decent.
The Ugly:
I already qualified for a discount through my company, but no service recovery was ever offered beyond the repeated apologies provided throughout the service.
Quite likely one of the best burgers I've had. Great atmosphere and an easy commute from the hotel since it was just downstairs from my room ;-)
Full bar is always a plus. The pretzel was amazing along w the honey butter mustard concoction. The size of the pretzels is literally bigger than the plate (see picture).
Only reason I gave this place a 3 star instead of 4 was the service. Maybe they were just too busy that night...
Surprisingly good wings. Juicy and crispy, I suspect they're brined and lightly breaded. They have a great house hot sauce on the table.
Beers are a bit on the expensive side at $6/draft for a basic beer, but that may be status quo in this area.
Modern digs that might make for a good date or hangout spot. Worth stopping in if you're at the convention center.
Okay so it’s not the best food in the world. However if you’re in a bind I think this is a great option. Super spacious! Honestly I think I need to go back and try a milkshake because they all looked amazing! We were in a rush, so we didn’t get to try one.
I got the brunch burger, the taste was very good. I got waffle sweet potato fries as well. So mine was very good.
A plus for this place is that it is also kid friendly with a kids menu!
Service and atmosphere are great the foood is just OKAY though the milkshakes are absolutely not it. Tried the 4th July and the pb ones and they were both pretty bad. The chocolate cake is really rich and nice. The mini sliders are just okay.
I was a bit excited to try the food because I looked at the menu online and they had an “eat well” category with a “beyond, cauliflower & grain” dish which was supposed to have plant based meat, roasted cauliflower, quinoa, black beans, tomatoes, pickled red onions, lime-cilantro vinaigrette. The dish came and I was so excited to try it, I trusted the description and started with the cauliflower and tomatoes, I then took a bite of the “quinoa” however, the amount of quinoa was negligible and there was instead rice. Mind you, I have been on a specific diet and have not been eating rice and haven’t had any rice in over two months. I called the waitress over and inquired about the ingredients and she responds with “oh that’s how they always serve it”. WHATTT??? Why is there a totally stray ingredient in the dish that wasn’t listed. Could have been a life or death situation. The manager comes over and basically says the same nonsense “you can’t do quinoa by itself, it has to be mixed with rice”. False. They either need to update the menu and state all the ingredients or let customers know that instead of plain quinoa they use a mix.
Got home and had a terrible stomach ache from the two bites of the rice mixture that I consumed.
Very disappointed.
Stopped in for a quick lunch bite! Had the Ranchero Chicken Quesadilla and watermelon margarita. In my opinion the quesadilla did not match the quality for the price it was listed. I received 4 tiny triangles and above all was very bland and unflavored. Although, I want to note the bartender on shift was very helpful and very attentive to all guest hence the extra star!! For one person, quesadilla, watermelon marg, & a shot of espolón came out to $43 not including tip. This to me is a bit unsettling, but I also understand it’s a hotel restaurant. Overall, I believe there other menu items may be more enjoyable as they are a burger joint, but the quesadillas were not it.
This is a good place for a quick fix. If you’re in a bind and need a quick hot meal, or even a dinner amongst friends and or family. Then this could be for you. Classic American style restaurant and a full bar. The atmosphere is energetic and well every time I’ve been there, even if the place isn’t packed there’s still enough people to keep the place chirping. Game days especially are filled with large groups, a packed bar, and good conversations. Good detail to know, it’s a decent place for wings, so game days will be full days. Everyone who has helped me so far has been friendly and able to answer any questions one might have. I like it when workers are informative and give their honest opinion because it really does help. As far as the parking goes, I’m assuming if you’re staying at the Weston (hotel), which has the bar located inside, you aren’t too trouble for parking. Other than that, and what time of day, you will most likely have to pay for something. Prices are decent, not super fancy or over the top. The only thing that comes to mind is that I would say I regret not trying one of their monstrous shakes, you can blame Jack Daniels for that.
