This is my first visit and I can honestly say he gave me a fair price. And did great work, so I will see him again. It's hard to find a good mechanic that doesn't try to rip you off.
He seems to be a really nice guy as well
I have been using Bill Arp Auto for decades. It is refreshing to have an outstanding mechanic that is honest to boot.
My family has had a number of cars (differnt makes and models) worked on/fixed at Bill's over the years. Dale and Chance are stand up father and son mechanics. They are honest, friendly and hardworking.
I would recommend them without hesitation.
Chancey is the best!! He helped us out when we were in need so that we could keep traveling that same day. Seeing his three adorable bulldogs was totally worth all the troubles we had. ???? Honest reliable mechanic. Thank you!
They did an excellent job with my repair. Got it done when they said they would at a very reasonable price. Also didn't give me a hard time when I had to show up a bit late for my appointment. Would definitely recommend.
Parts quality is terrible.
The ignition coil on my Silverado went out and I had had it towed to Bill's. They diagnosed it quickly enough and replaced the part. The day I picked it up I drove it 2 miles before it died and they replaced the ignition coil AGAIN. Fast forward 6 months and I started getting multiple cylinder misfires. My regular shop had to replace the cat converter ($400) due to all the fuel dumping into my exhaust. They replaced several fuel injectors, a fuel rail, and distributor cap ($900) trying to alleviate the problem with no success. Finally they replaced the ignition coil ($70) despite it being brand new, and it runs great again. I ended up with $1300 in repairs because of the poor quality of parts they put in originally. I would recommend a another shop!
Dropped off truck to be fixed, employee gave us an estimate, employee called later in the day and said it would be more than that. I decided to have another mechanic fix the truck. Asked employee if any work had been done on the truck, he said no substantial work was done. Went to pick up the truck and employee said that they did a bunch of work, then undid it, and that we owed them money for this!
Bottom line, at best they are unprofessional at worst the are dishonest. They never did any work on my truck, and never will.
I appreciate both Dale and Chase. They give me a fair price: they do what needs to be done and don't do what doesn't need to be done.
I've been going to them for about 10 or 15 years now.
