Best WLM Reviews
Great place at journal square for chaats, sweets, like jalebis, rasmalai malai, kalakand, chhole bhature and thalis at a reasonable price. Spacious and awesome friendly staff. Tea was good too. Self service.
Dropped in for dessert after dinner. We had badam milk, rasmalai and rabri falooda. Rabri falooda was actually disappointing because I expected something with fruits and nuts and basil seeds and sev with ice cream. I got a falooda sev drink with rabri and was such a bummer. Will not recommend. May be I should have taken the kulfi falooda instead. However rasmalai was excellent and so was badam milk. Rasmalai was decent sized with enough syrup and was soft and pillowy and melt in the mouth. Highly recommend the rasmalai
We decided to try this place out, but unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. We ordered a Bhel for starters, and it seemed like it was simply a store-bought packet served in an aluminum box, with minimal onions and tomatoes, and barely any chutney. To top it off, the Bhel even had ghatiya in it! We don't think we'll be returning.
Very friendly staff who are quite patient and helpful.
It's so awesome to sample the authentic flavours of Indian dishes.
They have a huge variety of Indian sweets as well.
We took some Dhodha and a customised thali. Both were delectable.
The Bikanervala here isn’t quite what you’d expect if you’re familiar with the brand in India or its other locations in NJ. The food is decent—nothing extraordinary, but it offers a good variety of snacks, sweets, and thalis. The kachori I tried had fantastic masala filling, but the outer shell was too soft, lacking the crispness you'd find back in India, feeling somewhat elastic and not as pleasant. However, the filling was excellent. I plan to return to try more of their offerings.
Firstly, the service is wonderful! The two guys & the lady behind the counter were helpful, patient & pleasant! Second, I’ve never seen such huge beautiful looking bhaturas & they were the perfect balance of flaky and soft buttery goodness! The choley and pav bhaji need work! The pav was too dry and crispy; the dosa wasn’t bad but the sambar was great and not watery which was fantastic. Overall, I’d go back because the staff were so pleasant but I’d try other things on the menu next time.
Love Mithai/sweets and Chats ?! Then only place I recommend is Bikanerwala. They make the best rashgulla and Gulab Jamoon..the chats and Chloe bature natural are the bestest. They have lots of Indian sweets like jalebi, kaju katli , basundi and Peta. It’s very clean (unlike other restaurants in jersey city) and the staff always wears hats/gloves.
Plenty of seating and the whole place is v v well maintained. During Diwali they make the Diwali sweet boxes ????. If you love Indian street food go here and you won’t be disappointed . Bikanerwala is very big name in India for packaged snacks and they live upto the fame
Great place to have an Indian meal :) The vibe is pretty casual, and you have to order the meal at the counter and then take a table. The taste is pretty similar to what you’d find back home. We had the chhole bathure, Pao bhaji. Would highly highly recommend the Raj kachori. Chai is great too!
