My son and I are in town to visit the college and we always try to go taste the local barbecue places. Needless to say we were disappointed. My son got the big pulled pork sandwich (don't remember the name of it) and I got the brisket. The meat was dry. Brisket was tough and overcooked and the pork had no flavor. We had to drown our food in sauce. Not good at all. The potato salad and beans were good, I'll give them that. I wouldn't recommend eating here.
We drove from Oklahoma to do some fabric shopping and Googled places to eat real quick. This place came up and we joked about what a mouth full the name is. We decided to try it and are so glad we did!!! Not only are they super friendly but the food.....WOW!!! Everything was amazing from the brisket, pulled pork and chicken all the way down to the coleslaw and potato salad. We now just wish they weren't 5 hours from home. Well definitely stop in every time we get to come to town.
At first glance, there wasn't much to this place, but the food looked good. My wife and I sampled the menu and everything was great! The one item that stole the show was the Jalapeno Poppers that were wrapped in bacon and had smoked meat mixed in with the cream cheese.
This is not a typical BBQ joint, they get creative with their menu. As I've said in other reviews, BBQ is subjective and styles vary by region, but no matter what style you like, this page is worth a try.
In town for a few days and wanted to try somewhere local.
Unique decor, loved the aluminum siding half walls. Order taker was nice and friendly. The benches were very well done, looked like handmade cedar.
Tried the Homemade Tuna Special served on Texas toast. The tuna itself had egg and pickles, but I was underwhelmed. Didn’t much care for the flavor, it was definitely fresh! Didn’t notice any Mayo, so that may have thrown off my tastebuds.
Hubs had the Better Burger with everything and a side of onion rings. The burger patty was dense and over cooked. Just a burger. The onion rings were good.
Overall, experience was okay.
So, this is the first time I've been here, gotta say not too pleased. I typed in food near me and this popped up. Been wanting to try it for forever now. Ordered a loaded baked potato. They are my favorite! Then order the bf a burger. So it says to go there. I get my stuff and go. (This girl is hongry) right before I get there my card was hit multiple times. (Not their fault) it said meals now. So I go in confused and the waitress repeated some of my order to me and I was like yeah that's it. So first she brings me a cup (looks like a Med from Casey's) and I thought man am I spoiled, Casey's only charges me 1.89 after tax. So I'm waiting since we realized I wasn't meals now, which are still hitting my card at this point. ????????♀️ then she brings me out one container. I was like I thought I ordered more? Could of swore she said something about fries. So i was like, there should have been a loaded baked potato at first she said that's all that came through on order was the burger meal. Then she said oh yeah we kicked it back cause there is no more Loaded Baked potatoes. ???? tis life. Then I get to the car already a little irritated because I just spent $20 bucks on a combo meal. Imma taste a fry! ???? of course no fries. I paid $20 dollars for a sonic burger and a Casey's drink. No one had a clue what was going on. It was super frustrating and I paid $20 bucks for 1 burger, a Casey's drink and an anxiety attack.

You're looking for straight comfort food and want the bigger bang for your buck? This is the place. I ordered fried pickles for me and my youngest kid, along with their "biggest" burger and a kids chicken strip meal.
The pickles were NOT some big distributor's lackluster attempt at Southern feel-good affairé. This kitchen provided solid hand-bettered delights with what appeared to be house built Ranch dressing. Not soggy and mildly sour, the ranch and the pickle chips were a simple marriage with 2.5 kids, a dog, and a porch with two rockers on it.
The "Biggest" burger was a bit much though. Nominally built as one would hope with my customized toppings, the two 8 oz. patties and cheese and bacon and mayo were too much for the store-bought Wonderbread buns to handle and they feel apart over the course of the meal. A single patty would have sufficed anyway and I can't judge them too hardly for the consequences of committing to something clearly over the top. The taste was excellent, however, the patty was hand rolled and an option of medium or medium well would have bolstered this enough for a five star award considering quality for value.
The chicken strips were well prepared and again hand breaded. Sides of crinkle cut fries and tots were par.
Though not the most fantastic exemplar of southern comfort food, this place is easily the best sampling for the dollars you pay and should see your face at least once when you're passing through the area!
Great place with a surprising variety of food offered. We came for the BBQ tho. Ribs were really excellent and I have tried ribs all across the United States and these are maybe top 3 with a great flavor to there dry rub and fall off the bone tenderness. Owner came out to chat and even brought us samples of his brisket and pig slop! Both were fantastic! I will be back and you should go as well!
