Mothers Day and they're super packed. The floors are so slippery with grease that I actually fell on my face trying to get some salt for my unseasoned fries. The pork was fatty and I couldn't eat it. We got our food before we got our drink and our food did not change me quick.
Beef ribs are getting cooked with too hot of temps. Beef ribs barely cooked, too much muscle fiber. Burnt ends... these are trimmings from the brisket that are burnt and not recooked. The bbq sauce on both tasted strangely like canned marinara...
This is a hidden gem in KC! The chopped beef special was fantastic. The sauce is not sweet at all (which I like) and had a small kick to it. Atmosphere makes you feel like you're in an old cabin, exactly what I want from a BBQ place. Great service, great food, decent pricing. I'll be eating here many more times.
Right around the corner from LC's,this is another old school KC BBQ spot in the inner city.
Burnt ends special is on Monday, so obviously I went w that. The burnt ends are unique in that they are sorta cut into strips. Sauce is thinner than most and is different and unique but very good.
This has gained my respect.
Asked for a recommendation for what to get and was not disappointed. The food was excellent, and it came out quickly as well.

Had lunch on mother's day with my wife. Asked for pulled pork sandwiche. Got slices ham.
Asked for sliced beef brisket sandwich. Got chopped beef.
Asked for a drink. Never got it. Had to ask well after I got my food and the lady was like I'll need to go back and check your order. I'm confused why they didn't give it when I paid. But they was busy..
Wasn't a good food or service experience. Tody wasn't for them.

Went there with a buddy.
Not only was they nice, they brought it to me in the lobby. Gave me a medium BBQ beans for free. Made sure I had a refill on soda. Extra pickles and sauce. Lovely people.
Never had a issue here.

Did the drive thru today for lunch.
They was out Out of everything seems like.
Asked for Mac and cheese. Recipe says it. But also says 00.00. Didn't get it. Asked for extra pickles. Didn't get it. Asked for spicy BBQ. They was out. I expected some sauce? Didn't get any. Fries wasn't cooked all the way. So they was trash. For $15 I'd say noooo thanks. Waste of time and money. Maybe working is ghetto or they just didn't care today. Either way. My first visit was the best. Second time was not. Let's see if there's a third.

Had lunch here for the first time.
Wasn't bad. Iv had before.
Food:
burnt ends was a little dry, corn on the cob would have been better if had maybe, seasoning and rolled on open flame or something? Mac and cheese was basic and was decent. The fries I'd say fresh cut and decent.
Sauce:
One was spicy and in a warmer?
Weird but different and not bad at all.
Free soda refill and clean place.
Enough parking. Easy to get to from 435 and Eastwood.
I've been waiting for a turkey leg forever. Went here because we've been there before. Got my turkey leg after a long wait in the drive through went home digged in and found a hair cooked into my turkey leg. Also it was overcooked bones were splintering skin was soggy. It was not what I expected. Highly disappointed. I'd get a refund but I live so far away. Might have to drop this place from my BBQ list.
I first went to Big T's three or four years ago and I recalled really liking it. This time around I had a pretty sub-par experience. The service (cashier) was terrible. She gave one-word answers when I asked about the menu (there was no one waiting in line behind me). It is very, very smokey in here. That is not unexpected or even a bad thing when it comes to eating BBQ, and especially if you're going to a small place like this; but be forewarned in case you plan to go anywhere after you go here. Also, the floors are very slick. This can be expected and even endearing for some of the older BBQ spots, but again, be forewarned. The smoke alarm located in the women's restroom was beeping (expired batteries) the entire time we were there. (We arrived right when it opened so this should have been noted and corrected before they opened to business for the day.) The brisket is sliced very thin and ironically did not have too much smoke flavor. The rib tips were great. Note: here's very little meat on a rib tip. The beans are unremarkable flavor-wise. They are meaty. The fries were unseasoned. Big T's offers a drive through, it's kind of hard to see but you access the speaker from the back of the south parking lot. There's a small dedicated parking lot and although I didn't note dedicated parking, there are many areas to park for accessibility. The entrance is semi-accessible. There are gender-specific restrooms. They have booths and tables/chairs.
