What a great little sandwich spot! Nothing fancy, just good affordable food. The hot pastrami was everything you want in a pastrami sandwich. The bread was soft, the pastrami was hot, nice tang from the Mustard & a little funk from the Swiss cheese. The Bronx Bomber was delicious. Love the coleslaw, the marble bread was nice & fresh. The potato & pasta salad are both solid. We will definitely be back! Thanks for the great lunch & service today.
My favorite deli in the Tampa Bay Area. Classic old school sandwich shop vibes. The bread is very fresh and the homemade Pastrami and corned beef is phenomenal. Seems like the owners are in here everyday making the sandwiches, so everything is consistent.
Wonderful fresh sandwiches. So far I had the Club on marble bread that bread was so fresh and delicious, nothing compares. Today I had the reuben and it did not disappoint. Will be my regular lunch stop when I'm working in the area. Two thumbs up.
I came into Big Steins Deli today for Lunch. It was pretty quiet, a few people in and out. The place is small but warm and inviting. The menu is diverse, lots to explore. I had a grilled Reuben. It came with a pickle spear. The sandwich was classic and delicious. It may possibly have shaved a few years off of my life expectancy from how delicious it was, and I’m okay with that. Would definitely recommend this location, will return.
My first time trying this deli. It did not disappoint. I was quite shocked to see the size of my Skyscraper Club sandwich, it was humongous! Several bread options, went with marble and it was fresh. Was ready in 5 minutes, meat was fresh and juicy, finally found a pickle that I couldn't see underneath. Made great dinner too as I couldn't handle the whole thing by myself!
Such a sad visit. I walked in and kinda knew this was not the deli I thought it would be. With name, I thought it would be a Jewish deli. The first I noticed was a pork sandwich.
I order a cornbeef and pastrami sandwich. Absolutely awful! The bread was so stale, it fell apart when I tried to pick it up. The meat was chewy and super salty.
Now, I love pickles. When you see the picture of the pickle, you know I cried.
I wonder about the food safety and the handling of their products
First time trying this place out! Absolutely amazing chicken salad sub. Prices are great I got a small sub for $5 and some change but it was such a big portion of a sub for a small one. Definitely recommend this place over subway or chain places. I’m guessing it was the owner who made my sub and cashed me out but he was nice and I will be back. Eat local don’t go to subway haha
It used to be really good, but now there are only 2 people working there, so food takes forever, and sometimes they don't get it right because they are overwhelmed. I would advise caution until they get service figured out. Food still good, but misses because they are overwhelmed. Took 25 min to get Bacon Lettuce & Tomato sandwich, which they didn't toast. Just not what it was.
