Best WLM Reviews

Beef sandwich was phenomenal and a healthy portion. Could use some more sauce, but that’s easily remedied with some extra sauce on the side. Spicy Fries were very good battered fries. Did the 50-50 with onion rings and poppers, both good, though I prefer poppers with cream cheese over cheddar, just a preference. Chocolate pie was good, though the pastry crust was just okay. For all that, I only paid a smidge over $20. Absolutely will return and would recommend.
Barbecue itself was delicious and the owner was incredibly friendly. No frills barbecue joint with lots of menu items. Seems like a cozy spot to watch a Royals game, and their pie/cake was good too. Ribs were not the best I've had in the area, but the turkey.. the turkey was smoky and moist. Exactly what I was looking for. Burnt ends were delicious, and serving sizes were huge! The sauce sneaks up on you and this establishment checks all the boxes. Great local choice!
DON'T EAT HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY AND HEALTH!
If I could leave a 0/5 star rating I would. Not only was the food old and just sitting in a warming tray, but everything tastes like everything else. The sweet tea tasted like pickles, the Dr. Pibb tasted like cola, and the glasses and tables were dirty. my partner couldn't even tell the difference between the pulled pork and the burnt beef ends (which it wasn't even burnt ends it was just shredded beef with some liquid smoke and BBQ sauce, in both the pork and the beef). The best thing here was the onion rings. We came out from Oregon and were the unfortunate recipients of the WORST BBQ IN KANSAS, or even the US. I didn't even get down the road past the shell gas station/Xpress mart before I puked my guts out. Being someone that has worked in food most of my younger years, I know, for a fact, that the food was either yesterday's, or it was left out too long or something. You don't get sick that fast without something being SERIOUSLY wrong. The price was 40 and some change for 2 plates and an appetizer with drinks. It was terrible for the cash even if it didn't make you sick. DO NOT DINE HERE. send the health inspector or something. There is something terribly wrong. We should have just left. Even took 20 mins to get out take out boxes, they had no other customers and had three people "working".
Family owned local venue with great food and big servings!
Super friendly staff!
Wonderful neighborhood BBQ restaurant that is worth a trip!
Very good food. Personally I like my ribs cooked longer but everyone is different. The ham is fantastic! Very lean! Service was immediate.
Will return again and again
We stopped here on our vacation and it didn’t disappoint! The ribs were fantastic! The sauce had a tiny bit of a kick and the ribs fell off the bone. The baked beans were some of the best I have ever had. We tried the fried pickles and they were so good! It’s a nice, clean, and friendly atmosphere. A great mom and pop place to taste some real bbq made with love! We chatted with the friendly owners while we dined. They were they nicest people!
Stopped in to see a nearly empty restaurant. When seeing that I immediately begin to question going but we love our barbecue so we said we would give it shot. Have to say I was not disappointed at all. The burnt ends original sauce wasn’t great but the sweet sauce they gave me to try with it put them over the top. They were tender and fell apart just like they should. Sweet potato fries were a little over cooked but still good. The pulled pork was amazing but next time I would ask them to not drown the meat in sauce. Onion rings were good, and the corn nuggets were tasty. The service was over the top professional and will be going back for sure. Would like to see some juice options for the kids.
Venture out and try the many unknowns of the barbecue world like this wonderful place in Argentine KS!
