Best WLM Reviews

Beautiful space and really friendly staff. Service is a work in progress. Drinks were great but, took some time to come out. Yes, the fried chicken is crispy and juicy. Seasonings and breading are subjective.
I loved the food and drinks I had at Big Jones. The restaurant isn’t huge but for my friend and I it was just fine. We didn’t make a reservation but the staff was very nice about it and seated us right away despite it being a Friday. The food did take a while but it was so worth it. I got the half chicken white meat meal with the greens. I wasn’t a fan of the greens at all, not your traditional greens and I also didn’t feel like it had much seasoning. But the fried chicken was amazing. So juicy and well seasoned. It went so well with the gravy they had. Like, amazing gravy. But what really set this meal to impress me was the jerk hot sauce. Next time I go, I have to buy a bottle. The mac and cheese was also pretty good. Well seasoned and not too cheesy but not too dry either. I liked the biscuit, but it was a little dry. The drinks were amazing, especially the lavender one! Will be back!
The main dishes were good but their side dishes were extremely average. The grits were cold and needed more flavor. The corn bread was on the dense dry side.
The friend chicken and the beignets and other main dishes were much better. Crispy chicken soft chewy dough on the baked goods
Cute brunch spot in the heart of Andersonville! We got outdoor seating on the perfect day. Food was good and the atmosphere was nice too. It was super busy on the weekend but we made a reservation in advance. Slightly pricey but it’s Chicago so what can you do
A friend and I came in for restaurant week and we absolutely loved it. The drinks and the food were delicious and creative. Our server Acacia was so knowledgeable, sweet and took our order without writing it down (I love that skill!). The other servers were also very kind and it was very warm feel in the restaurant. A little piece of NOLA! I would definitely return.
Went for restaurant week, lunch menu.
Started with Gumbo, fried chicken, and bread pudding.
The gumbo was awesome! I need to have just that next time. The fried chicken was very very good! The dessert was ok but again, I'm not a big fan of dessert.
Service was ok. Next time I'll be more vocal to get attention.
The Sazerac was very tasty.
We started with the beignets, and didn’t taste like beignets-tasted more like bread with powdered sugar. I would say that the fried chicken was very good and very tasty. The biscuit was not good. We tried to order orange juice and they had none- the only juice believe that they had that day was grapefruit juice. The service was good and our waiter kept checking in which was very nice.
Big Jones offers a delightful breakfast experience. I had the "A Simple Southern Breakfast" along with a side of buttermilk biscuit perfectly complemented by the orange mint melange tea. The ambiance adds to the charm, making it a must-visit for those craving authentic Southern cuisine with a twist!
